I have been doing yoga for 4 months now and it has changed me physically and mentally. I am hooked on it and look forward to it every morning!

I see no benefits compared to going for a run or doing some body weight exercises

It’s not really like a physical gain thing, yoga is more of a mental and breathing exercise to some people, although running and strength training is also important.

Yoga means dharma, the person in the video is referring yoga as a strecting exercise only, but Yoga means Union with God so, Yoga is practiced to make your body strong enough to do meditation for days. The health benifits are just are just byproducts but yoga is form of Praying different hindu gods and sages.

Yoga has made my other workouts more effective. I am stronger, more flexible and my nervous system is stronger.
