@ZanesFacebook

I agree with the "don't be reckless" part but everything else is opinion. I never thought I'd have a robot vacuum because they're crazy expensive - but I have one now and it makes perfect sense. Do I need it? Absolutely not. I could buy 30 regular vacuums for the same price. But I wanted it. I've wanted it for ten years. And finally, they reached a level of autonomy and a price that I deemed affordable. So... Now I have it. Same with cameras. I always wanted motorized cameras that can spin 360 degrees and tilt. But they were always too expensive and lacked features. But now, I have cameras that spin, tilt, track motion, recognize faces and communicate between each other and record to a local network drive. The world has changed. My wants haven't, but they're now accessible for a reasonable price. Again.. I don't need it. I have all my needs covered with about 30% of my income. But the other 70%, well, I most definitely do indulge.

I can happily say that I don't spend money in any of these ways--I've always considered myself to be the world's worst gambler, so will not throw money away in that manner!--but I also had to go through bankruptcy in order to learn my lesson the hard way. You might want to change one word in your video; that last part, where you've posed the question, "Can I pay this off without creating financial DURESS..." You want the word DISTRESS, not duress. Duress is being forced to do something against one's will, and typically one would not be paying off a credit card or bill under duress.
I went into a lotto store and bought two bottles and 150 thousand I spend $10 a ticket I guess I'll save my money number one don't have too many friends and family especially the ones who told you that was a waste of money man I can invest and enjoying some of my life without debt my house was already paid off don't need a car I know how to take a bus and a cab now now and then I always bought what I need before I bought what I want that's why I only bought two tickets when I won that hundred and fifty after taxes I don't need much but I do need to enjoy my life cuz when I die I'm not taking nothing with me

This is a good list. Some of them apply to me for sure. Other that apply to me were not included. For example, eating fast food. I recently decided to start cooking again not only for health benefits but also cost. 1 fast food meal is ~$10 plus the gas and time to drive there. Now, I eat cereal, eggs with bacon, juicy instead of sodas, etc. I feel better and save money! But really I like focusing in "abundant mindset" instead of "scarcity mindset". Like uncle GC says, "if you're worried about baby money, you wont make big money!" Focus on working twice as hard so you get promoted/commission/ raises/bonuses etc.

Learn to cook from scratch. Learn to sew, and make repairs to clothing. Go for a 2 mile walk each day. Plant a garden. Dry your clothes outside. Learn to play an instrument instead of buying so much of other people's music. Write in a Journal. Don't maintain any collections of things. Just get the one piece you really like and pass on the rest. Be grateful for what you have. Volunteer your time instead of hanging out in bars. Volunteering is just as social and can be very rewarding and it brings up your mood better than alcohol, which is ultimately a depressant. Every now and then, watch the sunrise, and the sunset.

It was so hard for me to refuse the sewer clog "insurance" for $155 per year. $63 for the first year then automatic renewal at "regular price." AVOID SEWER or WATER PIPE REPAIR INSURANCE touted by your local water company. BTW my sewer did back up between my line and the street. The city unclogged it in 10 minutes for free.

Need to pay off my cards. Canceling my cable is going to help me financially with that goal. In case you out there, don't know, some stores, regularly upgrade your department store cards to a major credit card. In 30 years, I applied for 2, but ended up with 5. One was canceled finally, for lack of activity, but I was stuck with it for many years. Canceling a card for any reason will cost points on your credit score. Two more dept. cards have also been canceled on me. One store closed permanently, the other one I had stopped using. I have welcomed those hits on my score, I will make them up soon enough. Incidently, I never use an ATM for cash. I refuse to pay for the service. Great video. Thank you.

I have been using coconut oil as a body moisturiser and castor oil as night time facial moisturiser.. try to wash my hair with chick pea flour n use good sunscreen .. and this has paid off .. pamper yourself and indulge when it comes to personal care but be mindful as you don’t have to spend a fortune on that .. just don’t get carried away by marketing .. stay blessed

6:10 If your local gym is ripping you off, fine, cancel it and just work out at home, if not, the real problem isn’t the loss of money being spent on the membership, the problem is with you: get your asses in the gym folks. Don’t use money as another excuse-never compare your health to money. Trust me, you’ll feel better, be more motivated and inspired, think clearer, and be healthier… and swoler. Actual waste of money is TV, buying things you don’t need, and eating out. “You’re born small and weak, and you’ll die small and weak-the rest is up to you.” -RobertFrank615

The only one of these I do and that's a gym membership. However, I use it 4-6 days a week, so it's well worth it, plus it's important to stay healthy to avoid certain health problems. Other things I can think of that people waste money on: 1. Outfits they wear once - (for a party, Halloween, weddings, etc) 2. Bottled water, soda, etc. - water is next to free from the tap and you can filter it and take it with you. 3. Tech - ie. Having a perfectly good working iPhone that's "last year's model" and upgrading. 4. Subscriptions they don't use - Amazon prime ( if you use it, it's definitely worth it) Other streaming services Magazines Monthly clothes boxes, wine subscriptions, etc

It used to be important but @ the prices today,including upkeep,property taxes and insurance I’m not so sure given the government can state that you are nonessential and destroy your ability to make the mortgage payments. I save at least $400 a year at my workplace by making my own coffee! I'm lucky enough to be in a place with a sink, fridge and cupboard space. I keep my almond milk in the fridge, buy big tins of coffee when on sale and make 2 1/2 mugs of coffee in a French press every work day. EASY! CHEAP! TASTY! I also have a tin of tea bags when I feel like something different. But I can't understand why other co-workers don't do this!

I joined a very snobby club here in Australia. You had to be nominated by 2 members. I went to the gym 5 days a week to used the pool at lunch time. I worked full time & went to university at night - 5 nights a week. I was falling asleep in lectures so I cut back & halved my membership fees. I had the use of the gym but saved 50% as I went down to 3 days a week. My suits began to fit me as my shoulders lost their bulk. I learned to compromise !!

I refuse to waist $. I am 45. Have been saving since 25. I am Not a cheap skate. Many people meet me and think I am wealthy. Far from it. I just learned to cut corners at every Angle. Eating out 3 times a week. $20 plus tip. $75 a week. 4 x a month. $300. A month!!!... When I was young. That was normal. Now I eat out maybe 2x a month. Bars. You can easily run a tab for $100 sometimes $200. Started game night at my house for $50 bucks tops. Clothes are a huge waist. I do wear designer bags and shoes. But all from Thrift and Consignment. My motivation is helping stop environmental waist. Grocery shopping is first done at outlet stores vs chain stores. They have a lot of name brand. Much cheaper but still good quality. What I don't find I get at a chain. I save hundreds doing so. These are long term changes that I've made and actually have seen the results. When you turn 40. RETIREMENT Is SOMETHING TO TAKE SERIOUS!!!... Other people say but your still young. That's the point. Have enough that your meds and home are taken care of. I taught my kids this but they insist I'm too cheap!... I just laugh!😆😅🤣....all the way to the bank hunny!$$$$$$$

Home decor! Ugh! So annoying. I have such a bad habit of dropping hundreds on amazon just to “change things up”... I starting a new rule where I must search for an item I want at the local thrift store first before purchasing. It delays the gratification of buying an item on the spot, and I usually do find what I’m looking for at the thrift store! I recently had a $65 set of dishes in my Amazon cart. I checked the local Salvation Army and found a similar set for just a few dollars :)

I have different ways to save money and put more money in my pocket every month. I changed my phone service provider and saved $43.00 a month. I only get mid grade or generic phones. Picking up change from the pavement or the discarded coins in a coinstar machine. I found some silver dimes and wheat pennies. Dollar tree and family dollar has some great deals also picking and choosing at Wal-Mart. I use a mountain bike for traveling instead of a car or ride share. Cutting out takeout is a great money saver. I'm single with no children and I'm fully in control of my finances. Saving change when using currency builds up.
