A simple coat of wax on the door bottoms keeps rust away. I like pick up trucks and I see people not waxing parts of their trucks. My truck sits outside.Theirs rust my doesn't. Especially wheel wells on trucks. You got to clean and wax your wheel wells really good in there. Spend some time in there. Yeah, all of that is a pain but waxing only where people look the most doesn't mean you have a waxed car. And forget car wash wax. You got to spend a lot of time to get every where. Waxing and buffing keeps rust away. If you really care and plan on keeping the vehicle. Midas well make the vehicle last. Keeps the wife at bay too while cleaning and waxing your vehicle.

Good tip. I will look into this. The thing is mine is already pretty rusty, so not sure if adding wax would do any good, but at this point i might just do it because i want the car to last haha

But are you actually washing your door panels? Take off those black plastic things covering the holes. Go to a self serve car wash (coin wash) spray in those holes and wash salt out. Get a can of fluid film and spray in those holes and on the lip of the door. Also. Take off the rubber seals on the rocket panels. Those hold moisture. I did all this and my 2016 still hasn't even started to bubble and I'm in deteoit michigan salt belt.

Yes, i actually wash them, but it’s almost like everytime i wash them it seems to get worse lol. I’m going to take those black plastics covers and see. Hope to find a solution soon

Since there are many more US viewers than Canadian viewers, you should really pronounce "z" as "zee" and not "zed". The majority of Americans find "zed" as super annoying.
