Re: Peeing in the middle of the night: If you can, use a vessel to hold your pee until you can pour it out the next day. (a good seal = double bonus as a warm water bottle) This way you don't lose your accumulated heat in your sleeping bag/gear and can go back to sleep faster
@AeetosOutdoors

That is a great idea! Although I must admit I’m quite scared to try it, what if it spills, or I miss, or the vessel breaks in the middle of the night? Maybe I’ll have to try it then do a video about it....

Question from a noob: I have a reflective emergency blanket and was thinking that might provide some lightweight warmth next time. Would it be more effective over me/the sleeping bag when I am lying down, or under me/the sleeping mat?
@viktoriadis

Put it under the sleeping mat bro , you need to protect yourself from the lower ground's temperature

Great tips, though i reckon pee is at body temperature passively simply due to it being inside the body.....another tip that contributes to keeping warm is to eat before bed as the digestion process generates heat for hours.

Eating before bed is a great tip. I recently saw a video where Alexis Outdoors mentioned eating cheese before bed to stay warm, that is something I'd be happy to try, maybe with a nice red wine too!

Sadly none of that's working for me, seems mats or stretchers both aren't warm enough for me even at 10c in Australia during summer mind you! I freeze in down sleeping bags, with multi layers of clothing on. I cant stop feeling the cold underneath my bedding and it keeps me up all night every night no matter the temperature. Even my emergency aluminum blanket under my stretcher didn't work, I'm still freezing. I need rugs of something under bed for some type of warmth, which i cant carry while hiking its too heavy! Feel like I'm sleeping on ice every night with no idea on how to stop it besides not camping! Anyone ever overcome the cold ground effect? When thermo mats don't work or aluminum reflection tarps/blankets aren't enough? Seems I'm only person in world who has this issue lol

@@AeetosOutdoors Tried a thick foam mat on top of my stretcher with aluminum coating on bottom side. And it was the warmest (yet uncomfortable) night sleep Ive had yet! Cant remember who gave me that idea now haha but it works for warmth. Ganna try an aluminum tarp sheet under my tent next, or on top of tent floor next, with aluminum facing the ground again, that suppose to have same type of affect. Some ideas, for those who don't like inflatable mats like myself and prefer stretchers =D

Use a mat under your tent and buy a better sleeping bag, always use a sleeping bag that offers near to zero comfort zone if you're experiencing temperature issues

Last two tips not mentioned, one, if you're lucky enough to camp at area where there is electrical outlet bring a long extension cord and a space heater, or better yet say the hell with it and buy a small camper. LOL . Just kidding. We must have a since of humor.

Super basic info. Wasted 9 min of life. Sleeping with something warm placed into bag was good, however, and will save the 👎 from being cast down. I was looking for more advanced info. Let's talk specific sleeping bags, advanced materials, wind chill, heaters. Does using a reflective tarp to decrease ceiling height work?

Super basic? I can’t tell if your conceited because you want your own channel or your just hurt that you don’t have something to brag about... but seriously if you find out that info you should defo do your own channel and try and help people coz if you have the interest and expertise then you might help people which would be cool and night make you less likely to be a douche on your comments but I’m not judging...
