I'm really glad that guy shared the last story. "Lopez." Very creepy! I can't believe that nobody took him seriously when he was complaining about being harassed. But then, I actually can believe it because the same thing happens to women too. "Oh you must've brought it on," "he's just joking, don't worry about him," it's always the same. Men can be sexually harassed too!

4:39 "I could immediately feel my thyroid swell with adrenaline." As someone who has suffered thyroid disease and thyroid cancer, this line made me laugh. Not because it's relatable, but because the person is misinformed. Your thyroid helps every cell in your body. If it's slow you're often tired, depressed, gain weight, etc. If It's fast you lose weight, can have anxiety, panic attacks (those adrenaline rushes), heart palpitations, lose your hair, etc. So, if you FEEL your thyroid physically like this story teller, you may wanna get it checked for hyperthyroidism, perhaps a goiter, or thyroid cancer.

omg, these are great! i'm originally from 50 miles north of NYC and have lived in manhattan, brooklyn and queens over the past 12 years. i feel very much at home here. some version of every one of these stories has happened to me. my boyfriend was born and raised in queens & is freaked out by the suburbs, rural areas, small towns, the woods. though i've lived in NYC for a while now, i grew up hiking in the woods upstate by myself and generally enjoying solitude in nature, being close enough to be in the city within an hour but far enough out that a long walk down the road leaves you feeling like you're in the middle of nowhere. i still love my home town and hanging out in nature, but when i take my queens-bred boyfriend hiking upstate now, he's like, "this is scary, everything in nature's just trying to kill you all the time, i didn't realize how hard walking can be because i've always just walked on flat sidewalks, not vertically up mountains, tripping on rocks and getting attacked by creepy ass bugs. plus NOBODY lives here, NOBODY can hear you scream. omg wtf, that's an old cemetery in the woods?? we are NOT walking past there!! Ilse, i will NOT be surprised if you get murdered in a cemetery at night one day!", etc. lol.... i have to admit i've come around to his way of thinking over these past 12 years, though -- even hearing the occasional gunshot or tale of someone getting mugged or assaulted or even abducted here in my brooklyn neighborhood, i feel like at least i can run or scream for a second and EVERYONE will hear me (i hear everything out my window too). plus the people in my immediate neighborhood, at least, will most likely help you right away if you need help, and actually physically intervene if something really bad starts to go down. nowadays, when i go upstate to hike sometimes alone with my dog, i walk a little faster than i used to when i see the sun starting to go down, and feel the thousand eyes of the forest waking up as night falls. i'm also just hyper-vigilant of my surroundings and other people, no matter where i am, so much so that i think sometimes my reactions seem odd to others when i'm at home upstate and everyone is still unassuming and leaves their doors unlocked. at this point, between living in NYC for 12 years and listening to a ton of stories about horrible things happening to people in places like where i grew up, i'd rather be here where at least everyone can hear me scream. hehehe...I
