REMEMBER! If you're going to be traveling over long distances by road, take these with you: Spare tires, kitty litter to give yourself traction if your car is stuck, a can of gas, a couple gallons of water with some dry foodstuffs in case you get stuck somewhere, a satellite phone, flare gun, and an actual gun. So let me get this straight. The autoshop guy worked on this beautiful, blonde, crazy chicks VW Jetta for hours and hours, all the way until 10 pm and didn't have the license plate number (he knew the state but not number) Not to mention yea the woman ran off without making inquiries but was there long enough to play Jedi tricks to get him to fix her car quickly yet he didn't get so much as her name and still worked on the car for hours. Small autoshop or not, helping keep costs down or not, being too nice, etc, it doesn't work like that. I call bull on blindly fixing the car. He at least knew the plate number. He was with the car for hours. There's just no way. I also call BS on being able to fix a VW Jetta in just a few hours, especially if he needed a part. Not in the USA. Funny he never mentioned what was wrong with the car. Story just isn't plausible.

I know many people that are backyard mechanics, and fix cars as a side job. And really the only way you know about them is by word of mouth. They don’t advertise openly to the public. So how did this woman know to bring her car to him. Someone he knows had to have referred her to him. And as was stated. To order a part for a JETTA you would need the at the very least need the VIN#. That being said,NO backyard mechanic would risk going near that car without the drivers info. But then again, this story is bs anyway so it doesn’t have to make sense.

These sure are scary car trouble stories! I'm glad the victims made it out alive in them. I knew all the people who tried to trick them had bad intentions! You usually shouldn't stop for anyone who's having car trouble because it could be a trap. And you shouldn't get in anyone's car unless you know someone or if it's a friend's family member. Be careful out there, people. By the way, I recognize that line at the end of the video!

Another time I fell in a lil ditch on the side of the road cuz I was looking at my phone and got stuck in the mud. Called the insurance to send a truck to pull me out and it was also on similar dark road and this African nurse in her mid 30s literally pulled over and walked to me and asked if I was okay. She could’ve just rolled her window down but she parked on the side real quick and came to ask me. I thanked her and told her that help is on the way. You’d be surprised how many nice people are out their who willing to risk it to help others which makes me wanna do it too but not in no suspicious dark streets

This is somewhat related to cars, in my story, a car dealership and automotive shop in Santa Rosa, CA. I was then in high school and my stepfather worked doing odd jobs for the owner of that Cadilllac dealership. I remember coming to the dealership with my stepfather one day and noticed a limping mechanic in the shop tending to some car. I thought nothing of that..until later. Apparently, a woman was stabbed many times by her date one night and before she succumbed to her injuries, she managed somehow to crawl to a phone booth and call the police to report who had assaulted her. The assailant was that same mechanic. He was arrested at the automotive shop. My stepfather said he did not understand why that man had assaulted and killed the woman, saying he got plenty of female attention at the shop. Horror!!

People. Like those in story 2 shouldn’t get recognition in my controversial opinion. Leasing a car doesn’t always necessarily guarantee a car as much yours as if you bought it. Regardless it’s a shop or dealerships’s responsibility to deal with problems at their expense if they didn’t fix what they were going to or if something else related comes undone or broke after leaving.

This birthday has sucked but at least I got this to listen to 🥲 Story 2 was unfortunately fake. You don't take the car "to the shop" or "bodyshop" for recalls. You take the car to the licensed dealer of the car, ie if you have a Honda you take your car to a Honda dealership to have the recall performed. On top of that, the dealership takes your information upon check in. Source: I've worked in the automotive industry longer than I'd like to admit.

They were right to not let the woman with the abusive husband in. People will stick their neck out, get hurt or worse, and the woman will be right back with the man. There have been cases where people's lives were taken trying to help, but the abuser's partner will STILL stay with them/support them from jail. DON'T INTERFERE. Just call for assistance but don't let them put you in danger. --- Also, if a customer is being abusive, don't serve them. Because if you do, they'll find something wrong with the service and cause you even more trouble. The story about the woman who attacked the mechanic was ridiculous. What kind of moron doesn't get information before rendering a service?
