Buying a stock is easy, but buying the right stock without a time-tested strategy is incredibly hard. Hence what are the best stocks to buy now or put on a watchlist? I’ve been trying to grow my portfolio of $260K for sometime now, my major challenge is not knowing the best entry and exit strategies... I would greatly appreciate any suggestions.

Americans of moderate level wealth income probably pay close to 60-65% of their gross income in taxes, much much more if you live in CA, WA, NY or NJ. State and Local taxes have become the absolute KILLER of middle class wealth. I expect that the incoming Biden administration's already published increased taxation of 'the rich' will cause the prices of most items for EVERYONE to rise catastrophically. The so-called rich and the rich corporations never actually pay these higher taxes; they simply and immediately pass along those taxes to the consumer in the form of HIGHER PRICES.

When that portion sells ( lets say $500k and no cost basis ) will that $500k be added to the household income and thus taking someone from a lets say 0% rate (94k max for married jointly) to a 20% capital gains rate ( $500k sale + assuming household income of 94k = above the $583k 2024 tax threshold for 20% ? Or what you are saying is if a married couple currently is in a 0% or 15% bracket with just their income then that sale proceeds of $500k gets taxed at whatever bracket their income puts them in (ie like 0% or 15% ) ?

I hate paying them all. Right now I hate income taxes the most but will probably hate capital gains more in the future

What do you think about oil and gas MLPs at this time while oil prices are low? Is it a good time to get into some of them? Thanks!

I HATE paying property tax. I suppose because I have no way of NOT paying them or getting a break on them.

I should have watched the entire video before I commented.... So I CAN write off some property tax IF I have a business... Hmmm what qualifies as a business to the IRS is the next question.

Older workers can defer paying income tax on as much as $26,000 in a 401(k) plan in 2021.401k also has an annual catch up amount in addition to $19,500, for people over 50yrs. That amount in 2020 and 2021 is $6,500. If I am not wrong, I believe You can contribute to multiple traditional 401(k) and after-tax Roth 401(k) accounts in the same year, but your total 401(k) contributions to all accounts can’t exceed the annual 401(k) limit.

Thank you so much!!! I hope you see this but are you saying I can take short term capital gains and transfer it to a dividend stock and hold it for 60 days and then only pay the long term tax rate on it? Like washing my money every year if I had short term gains?

Okay now watching more, are you saying you're limited on how much you can save on a dividend stock so you can then put that in a business account and then write off my business expenses?

In the beginning of the video you mentioned that if you hold a dividend stock around 60 days, you pay qualified dividends. I didn’t hear you mention ordinary dividends, which i thought was the case when you buy shares and own them less than 60 days and you get a dividend. I always thought the first dividend could be planned as ordinary and subsequent dividends as qualified.

Anything held for less than 60 days is taxed as ordinary at income rates. Doesn't matter when you buy, can hold for 60 days after dividend and get it qualified

Fun fact, Here in New Zealand we don't have a long term capital gains tax, however you probably won't get very far by investing in NZ stocks exclusively.
