I have HDMI out from my laptop to my projector, with an audio out/headphone jack the only audio out from the projector. I run a 3.5mm to my external speaker, and there's a loud "buzz" that's apparent when I turn the volume up to just 33% or so. Any idea how to get rid of the buzz? Sound and video do work fine except for the buzz.
@LifestyleLab_
5 жыл бұрын
@@superhomer Try running the 3.5mm from your laptop to the external speakers instead and see if the same buzz occurs. If not, your projector audio out likely has a poor signal to noise ratio and you may want to consider using the HDMI splitter option shown in this video, or simply continue to run the audio from your laptop instead

The best way that I found was an 'FM Transmitter'. I set it to an unused frequency and then I just tune the radio on my old (but fantastic!) Technics Stereo into that frequency! I get full FM stereo sound, and if you ever want to REALLY turn up the volume then you can tune every radio in a 50 foot radius into the same Transmitter (my son watched Star Wars at full cinema volume using my Technics and a huge Boom Box, twas fantastic sound!).

We are planning to hold a socially distanced - free community movie night in our town this coming summer. We will use a laptop and projector to show the movie. That said, do we need to buy an audio/video receiver in order to project the sound outward to a large number of people? At all costs we would like the event to have great surround sound. We are hoping to avoid the movie having way too much treble and no base which would make for a horrible listening experience.

Hello again, I am now going to buy a very long 20m Hdmi cable, To go from my receiver to the back of my projector. I want full 5.1 surround sound instead of using a Bluetooth dongle, that only gives out 2.1. I am also going to connect my mi box s for iptv . What i am confused about here, should the mi box be connected to the back of the reciever or can l connect it to the back of the Projector? It is only a wifi box, no ethernet connection to the internet. Just to confuse you and me even more , the receiver is connected to hdmi, to the tv also. I also have my main Iptv android box connected there also. Perhaps ,if I am running a hdmi cable now all the way from reciever to the projector, I must be able to use the iptv box by the tv,for tv and projector,and maybe I don't need the mi box that I bought to connect to the projector.

If you want true home theater, you need to run your devices into an AV receiver. There is no other way. That means running a long, active HDMI cable through walls to your projector. The only other way I've found is to purchase a WirelessHD transmitter/receiver set. This will robustly transmit HDMI 1080p wirelessly to the projector, using 60 GHz radio. There is also a technology called HDBaseT, which can transmit the HDMI signal over Ethernet CAT 5 or 6 cable, but this still means running the cable.

I connected the Logitech box to my reciever (vsx 920 pioneer) first and connected my phone and tested music with spotify. Although they say bluetooth has only 2 channels and can not do 5.1. I find that the sound comes through my 5.1 surround system very loud. But when l connected my projector and played a movie, and I put projector volume on full my iptv mi box on full volume and my pioneeer on full volume ,but it was only 50% as loud ,compared to connecting my phone with Spotify. It is enough for a movie but still want it to be louder. Where is the problem. The projector has 5.1 bluetooth, but there is no audio settings in the projector menu. Any ideas how i can increase volume.
@LifestyleLab_
2 жыл бұрын
1. You aren’t receiving actual 5.1 separation, the 2 channel signal is simply being sent to all 5 speakers 2. The gain difference is likely to do with the output gain on the projector being lower than that from your phone. If that’s as loud as it goes, there isn’t much you can do…

Hey man, I have a question. I’m using a Chromecast in my projector to stream content from my phone. My projector has audio outs. Is there any way to use a Bluetooth speaker with this setup, thus avoiding chords from the back of the room?
@LifestyleLab_

Yes, you can get an Bluetooth transmitter from Amazon that will work with the analog audio out of the projector to send sound to the speakers

@@LifestyleLab_ yo so I got a TaoTronics Bluetooth transmitter off amazon, and unfortunately it does not work well. It has very noticeable audio latency with my soundbar. My phone and computer have zero latency issues with audio, and when I plug the transmitter into my phone to use it as my Bluetooth source for the soundbar, the latency issues are apparent again. Pretty bummed out. Trying to contemplate whether I should try a different transmitter or just give up. Do you have a transmitter that you would recommend with no latency?

Would you know if there’s anyway to hook up the Ryobi SKAA speakers to a projector?
@LifestyleLab_
4 жыл бұрын
The Ryobi SKAA have an aux port meaning they can be connected directly to your projector if it has an audio out port, or can be accomplished using the HDMI splitter option explained in this video :)

Bluetooth lags when running projector ...best to use fixed line audio
@LifestyleLab_

It’s FAR too general to say all Bluetooth lags when running a projector. It’s device dependent. Take the Apple HomePod and Apple TV connection for example. Completely synced and designed to be used in this way

So need some help from someone to connect this. So I have a benq HT2050A and a Samsung hw-q70t 330w sound bar. So projector has 2 HDMI ports while sound bar has 1 HDMI port and 1 HDMI Arc Port. So my plan is to connect the laptop to the projector and get the content going on and use the sound bar also connected to the projector get the sound going on. I'm not really a techy but it doesn't work even having that 2 HDMIs the sound is just coming from the projector itself only. I have checked all the options available in the projector to try to do in the menus but so far no luck. Further I might connect my PS4 instead of the laptop for gaming purposes as well. I have no idea how I can use the sound bar also in par with the projector and laptop or ps4. Right now what I did was to connect the projector to the laptop while using laptop bluetooth to connect to the sound bar but the sound lag through bluetooth is unwatchable. Please let me know how I can use the sound bar with the projector when the content is coming from another source. Stucked on this for few days now 😔😔

You should be using the HDMI ports on the soundbar itself to connect your devices, and then run an HDMI from the HDMI Arc port back to your projector. The devices all connect to the soundbar, which handles the audio, and then the HDMI arc port passes the video signal back to the projector

You could use a surround system, but surround sound requires something to properly decode it. Ie, the source needs to feed into an AV receiver or compatible sound bar

@LifestyleLab_

You can, yes, just pair the Bose console as a Bluetooth device in the settings. However, due to the age of the speakers, you may experience some considerable audio delay or connection issues. Give it a try!

Great video! Very clear with great options. Here's one more setup that I'm using: a 3.5mm bluetooth transmitter. It basically serves the function of the amazon fire in your setup but runs from the audio out rather than the HDMI in on the projector. I have an Epson 2150, which has a 3.5mm audio out port but doesn't have bluetooth (as an aside, WHY don't projectors have the most recent version of bluetooth built in? The latency issues have been largely resolved!). Most soundbars these days that are sold with the intent to have them used with TVs also have a built-in bluetooth receiver. So I connect a bluetooth transmitter to audio out 3.5mm on the projector, and then pair it with the bluetooth on my vizio soundbar. The bluetooth transmitter could also (in theory) be used with an hdmi splitter if you have your video device (e.g. laptop; DVD player; console; roku...) at the back of the room near the projector where you can connect the video from the device through the hdmi splitter to the projector, but the audio through the hdmi splitter to a BT transmitter to the BT soundbar.

Hmm - Jeff Tanner - are there small BT transmitters that could be located in the ceiling with the projector? I'm re-doing a basement and would rather just do the BT out to speakers instead of hard wiring everything. Doing it all myself rather than paying a company $$$. Im able to connect a HDMI cable cos the amp sits behind the wall where the speakers are installed. How does the apple airplay work? What projector is Sonos amp friendly ? Hi, thanks for this video. Very helpful. I have almost similar setup to yours, with one difference that is, I’ve a smart (Android) projector connected to Fire Stick. I connect the projector to my sound bar via Bluetooth. It’s a clean setup but the audio has a lag. Could it be that I’m using projector’s Bluetooth instead of Fire Stick Bluetooth? Since all my content is streamed by Fire Stick. Any feedback will be much appreciated. Thanks once again.

Yes, the delay is likely caused by either the projector Bluetooth latency, or the soundbar Bluetooth latency. Try streaming a video from your phone to the soundbar via Bluetooth to isolate which one is the issue
