It always gives me a kick seeing someone watermarble with Holo Taco polishes, knowing that Cristine herself sucks at watermarbling. Great video!

Love these they look great! Thing is the water technique what the hell am I doing wrong. It just pools out to the edges and leaves a sheet like mass from the first drop, it all just clumps together when I try to 'drag' the colours. Also find that it just ends up like a horrible mass on the nail not the smooth finish you are getting. Yes total amateur just taken this up as a bit of a hobby since being diagnosed with lymphoma but at this rate I may need a new hobby 😂

Oh no! This might be that the polish is drying too quickly. Make sure the water isn't too warm or too cold and that you don't have any fans running near your work area. Another thing to try is that if your first couple of drops of polish stop expanding, you can run a stick around the edge to make them spread out more (sometimes the first drop dries ultra quickly and stops the rest expanding). I hope that makes sense and feel free to let me know if you have more questions! Sorry also to hear about your lymphoma diagnosis, I'm sure it must be tough. Nail art truly is a great distraction when you're feeling rubbish. Hugs!

how does the hairspray work on holo taco's linear holos? that would be such a cool way to make geode nails if it fragmented the same way as regular polish

When using drag marble.. do you stick the piece on a wet nail?
@NailArtbyTamsin
2 жыл бұрын
I stick it onto a nail that has a tacky (but not wet) base coat- like the Orly Bonder base coat. But it needs to be freshly applied and only JUST dry for maximum stickiness!

I saw a lot of videos using silicone surface for decal and similar stuff. Does it also work with a metal surface?
@NailArtbyTamsin
2 жыл бұрын
I’m not sure- I think it helps to have a flexible surface for decals so that you can easily peel it. I’ve never tried with metal but I’d be interested to see if it works!

Can I use gel polish for all these marbles designs and how?
@NailArtbyTamsin
2 жыл бұрын
I don’t use gel polish so I’m not an expert on that- but I imagine you can do most of them with gel polish - with the exception of water marbling which doesn’t work the same way with gel. Just make sure you’ve cleaned any polish off your skin before curing the gel polish
