That PRI lady is a fool. ITS A CAR SHOW. And that event with HOT ROD magazine/ROADKILL specifically was an engine swap. What do you do after installing an engine? Make sure it starts. And to be "Irate" to start off at that, she's an idiot. Just wants to be in control and it shows. And should be fired. Car shows make noise, and she's complaining about noise... sounds like a stuck up soccer mom who knows JACK about cars. Just dumb. Its as stupid as complaining to someone their drinking beer at a bar. Fool. Stupidity like that irks me.

Just safety.. I mean it was a little silly of her to be irate about it, but at the same time, what if a fan belt came off and hit a bystander ? ( yeah stupid) that's insurance etc and bad public relations. Its like warning labels, are you going to be mad they have a sticker on rat poison telling people not to eat it ? Seems irrational, but the sticker is there for a reason.

Every single one of you idiots are wrong the WOMAN was in the right. If you had any understanding you would know these thing are considered high risk by the insurance companies. They had to have a multi million dollar policy on the event. Which was not easy to get because there is no easy way to measure the risk. Plus the city is vary exposed. If any thing goes wrong the media will crucify the city council for letting a bunch of hot rod nut jobs in to the nice convention center. The ins said we were assured there would be no running vehicles, blah, blah .. in light of this new information,we regret to inform you that we can no longer underwrite this event. Boom no more show.

These shows have to run a pretty tight program in regards to how much noise each stand makes. The reason being that trade shows have had issues in the past of stands trying to outdo each other for attention with everything from loud music to all sorts of odd things. But the show should have been more lenient seeing that the show was pretty much over, so it wasn't that important at that point. I'm guessing that Hotrod did not ask for permission, which was kind of dumb, seeing that it is easy to get permission for such things as long as they are planned.
@alertgasper
6 ай бұрын
@@AB-80X sometimes, it's easier to ask for forgiveness than permission :) but yeah, getting yelled at was avoidable, along with showing up with a box truck and "not having the tools" to pull off an air cleaner assembly to avoid starting a fire...and not having decent jumper cables (all my cars do, a product of driving old junk when poor). they say they don't invent drama for the camera, but a lot of what they run into is just plain avoidable...

No idea, but I hope she realizes just how popular of a KZitem channel she could have with a half decent video crew and some minor editing.

Not even a half decent video crew. Just a handi cam and a go-pro. She would be epic.

when that chick came over you should have just kept the throttle down and pretend she was not there. That would have been awesome

One does not simply be silent and not start a newly swapped engine. I know you were in the middle of a trade-show, but that woman clearly has no idea of the tradition.

I've always said their cars, not trophys. Drive em! My step dad used to drive the 66 Coronet, the 55 and 60 Chevy sedans in the winter time. Usually only when it was slushy and not very salty. His theory was if it had more gas in the tank then his daily driver, it was going out the door!
