GHEVY last civie 707. RAF had brand new 707s early 1990s last of type off the lines. Albeit re-engined.

I wish I could have photographed these 707s. I'm take photos for ATI Air Team Images. If you've got some decent shots I reckon you could get them published. Not sure if you've heard oof Microsoft FSX but theres some amazing software around and you can learn to fly these 707s. I've been flying around Latin America and Soth America in 707s using Miami as a base. Great fun especially when flying using real charts, real weather etc. Google Captain Sim 707...not 100% realistiv but you learn alot.

There was (and still is) a dedicated group of photographers at Southend, who also captured the aircraft seen in my videos. Look at Keith Burton's photos on Flickr. Robin Pinnock shared an album with you from the Flickr app! Take a look: flic.kr/s/aHsjph7G6x I spent a lot of time on FSX in the past, but not so much these days, with spare time being shorter.

how many 707s did heavy lift have? as i may of saw that actual plane do a touch and go at the old stansted airport back in the late eighties

Jay Gordon. Heavylift owned G-HEVY from 1990 to 1996, but leased three others in 1989, which might be one you saw.

If you look at 707 part 7 5N-OCL can be seen in the remains of Heavylift colours; they leased it 1989-90 from Buffalo, reg N2215Y. kzitem.info/news/bejne/sqOJ1ax5e5amlKw

now that is what I call a true takeoff...and epic landing...no sound like the king of the skies...it made commercial flying euphoric...these modern planes, are quiet and boring.
