Cool piece, looks well made. Just don't expect to do that with 10" of wet snow. Id like one for my 1025r at some point but I don't see it replacing my 3pt blower completely.

looks great pushing 4" of snow, how does it do after a snowstorm that dropped 3 feet of the wet heavy stuff?

It'll work great - right up until it doesn't. But what the heck, tractor repair guys need love too. :-) And BTW - love my Deere 1023. It's a great little subcompact tractor that can get in and out of tight spaces, *and* I use it (with a 6-foot back blade) to clear my 1/4 mile long driveway - but I don't mistake it for a heavy-duty tractor, or a front-end loader, or a bobcat. It's a tool, and works well when used correctly on jobs that it's right for. Here, I'd say the guy's right - put a six-foot pusher on and it can clear a couple inches of snow pretty nicely. Same tractor, same attachment, and 18" of heavy, wet snow, and I'm thinkin' sumpin's gonna go *SPROING*!

Load the tires, put a full set of wheel weights times two on each rear wheel, had a set of tire chains, and put a couple of sandbags on that rear-mounted scraper blade and then when it snows you might have a snow moving machine. The present configuration is little more than a toy.

It's nice for going straight. But you can't turn with it. Your front wheels are turned, but you keep going straight...

You can turn a snow pusher. He might have had some downward pressure on the loader making his front lite. Ive found if you throw the loader in Float mode it works very well.

I done snow removal for many years. I live near Montreal. Yes you can turn, but the steering becomes so inaccurate that when maneuvering between objects (cars, posts etc.) becomes way too difficult . Float mode or not, when the pusher is full of snow, its just a matter of physics.

From my perspective, other than the rubber edge, it is very little different than the loader.
