On Guard Thanks for the feedback. I can always learn something new and since prepping is personal, we get to see into others ideas.

Good video. Another idea for keeping personal information readily available is to use a cloud-based storage program like Evernote or Google Drive. Scan copies of your important documents and you always have access from a computer or smart phone. This eliminates the need for CDs and jump drives.

DefconOne, I know some folks like the Cloud Based storage but I have never been a fan. I guess I'm just one of those that likes to keep things close to the vest. Scanning is a good idea. Keep in mind that YOU will need to have the computer to plug it into, nobody in public service is going to allow your device to connect to their computers. I suggest scanning and printing them, the best of both worlds.

True, that is a good point. I like cloud based storage because I can access information from anywhere with my smartphone. Of course, if my phone dies or there is no wireless service I'm out of luck, but for most realistic situations (house fire, storm aftermath, etc.) the ability to get cell service or WiFi is pretty likely. Like everything else in prepping, it's good to have multiple options and redundancy. I just started following your channel a few weeks ago and have really enjoyed it. Keep up the good work.

You make a good point, there probably will be services in most events we prep for and one is none, two is one and three is just right! Thanks
