I installed this BLDC motor to replace the LEMCO D-127 PM DC motor I had because the brushes in it finally wore out. Although the BLDC motor does drive both comprsssors at the same speed with the same current draw as the last motor, the drive creates more noise than before. Only time will tell if it can endure the load without burning up. I replaced the OEM bearings with Timkens, enlarged the ventillation holes, added a heat-sink and a dedicated muffin fan as well. The 3000 Watt controller that came with the motor only worked once and less than a minute so I changed it out with the 1500 Watt one I already had and had worked for me before in another application. Since the unit normally pulls only 10 to 12 amps during operation, the 1500 Watt controller should be sufficient.
