great video on many levels, it answered a bunch of questions I've had for a while. I pulled a bunch of corian out of a dumpster a long time ago, it's been waiting.....Thanks!

Started watching your video hoping to find Corian maintenance tips and ended up watching all the way to the end. Was shocked to see you made a seam ripper. I love handmade seam rippers and have a couple of them which I bought at quilt shows. Thanks for the vids. Wasn't what I was initially looking for but ended up being of great interest!

After hearing just seconds of you speaking, I realized we were likely neighbors at some point. We surely made groceries at the same Schwegmann's - I went to EJ! Thanks for the info and I enjoyed hearing you speak. Felt like home!

Hi Cap'n, Another great video. I'm still hunting for corian. After seeing the vid, I guess I can branch out and hunt for any sort of acrylic solid surface. Thanks for the info. BTW, the idea I had for the chip shield to use on round tools worked like a champ!

Hey Capt. Eddie, Good video. I used to work with solid surface material when I worked in a cabinet shop between 2000 and 2004. I can't remember which brand we used on this one big job, concession stands and score box cabinets for East Cobb County youth baseball. I'm curious how it has lasted, that was 8 years ago or so, and sitting out in the sun and kids climbing on them I just wonder how it looked after the first winter and the first year or two.

I am a fabricator of solid surface products and enjoyed this video because I usually have scrap material left over that would make perfect pen blanks. I see you are using "super glue" to bond your parts. I am wondering, can you use the actual "seam adhesive"? It's what we use to bond the parts so it would seem to me a good bond. Just wondering if you have had experience with blanks made with the adhesives made for solid surface. Thanks for the videos.

Hey Eddie, thanks for the videos. They are very helpful. When you combined the three corians, I understood all but how you drew your pattern. Maybe I could wing it from corner to corner. Would that work? I had a serious stroke (brain bleed) back in 2012, so I know a thing or two about having to re-learn the names of kids and grandkids where I live and etc. etc. But everything is going great now. Every now and then when I'm talking, I forget a word and have to pause til it comes to me, but my friends understand. Have a great day friend. Steve

I'll publish the part about turning and finishing. I talked too much and it ran long. Working on it today. Less glue is often better. most of the excess squeezed out. I use it as gap filler too.

Capt. I would do more with Corian but too many people say it's too hard to glue together without a very noticeable seam. Have you had that issue as well? How do you avoid it? or do you just not worry about a seam simply because you always work with multiple colors? I have about 20 pounds of 12mm that I'd like to use, but don't want seams. Great video by the way.

Thanks Eddie, I am seeming together a counter-top that's not deep enough. What are your thoughts on using 2 to 1 Epoxy resin to glue (cure) two counter-top pieces together? Using the back splash piece as a filler. Going to clamp a straight edge 6ft level down the length of the back of it, router it, then repeat for the back splash. Possibly light sanding with a large block to get it flat (great tips!).

Eric you can get Corian glue from eBay and Amazon...I made a Corian stand and had non of this adhesive so instead used grip fill grab adhesive in an applicator gun...I made shore the surfaces were clean with paint thinners / white spirits before bonding. www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Corian-Adhesive-Glue-BRAND-NEW-FORMULA-glacier-White-And-Others-Colours/143049003118?hash=item214e62906e:g:2NkAAOSwvGZcENEo
