According to my recollections, Ken Oldham joined us in July 1942 some 15 months after this recording was made and stayed until the St. Regis was bombed in '44, putting us all out of work. He's on Potomac Jump, soloing around about half way...

harry parry This is very interesting. Ken was our next door neighbour when I was a kid. I’m still in touch with his daughter and granddaughter.

@@johnster1964 far out and solid. Ken was among a large group talented and gifted artists that, during that war, never really got the wider recognition they deserved... I still stand by this sort of music today, it just feels free from pretention and one could, artistically improvising, take it anywhere at the drop of a hat. Anywhere ' the mood' may take you/one/us..... . A wonderful thing
