From NWS OUN: The final rating for Monday night's (8/26) Seward-NW Edmond tornado is EF1. The estimated path length is 3.4 miles with a path width of 500 yards. The tornado developed near the intersection of West Simpson Road and Kelley Avenue in far southern Logan County and moved south-southwest. Damage was relatively spotty along the track and consisted primarily of broken tree limbs and branches, along with some snapped and uprooted trees. The most significant structural damage was to a home east of Santa Fe and south of Simmons Road, where a large portion of the roof was removed. The tornado dissipated shortly after crossing Waterloo Road into Oklahoma County. Damage was also noted north and east of the tornado track, and we believe this was primarily the result of a large surge of straight line winds.

Do you have the coverage for this date from KFOR?

I have coverage from them, but it starts after the tornado. It only covers the severe weather moving into OKC.

I was driving east on I-40. As I remember it was very hot and sunny that day and we were roughly 150 miles east of OKC and I could see the storm clouds building. As we were driving by Yukon, day turned to night in a matter of minutes. There was constant lightening everywhere then as I looked north I could see a wall cloud. I said to the wife 'I don't like the look of this' then the weather service issued a severe thunderstorm warning on the radio which was quickly superceded by a tornado warning. Being as we're from England I didn't know where these warnings were issued for or how strong this tornado was, I was getting anxious to get to our hotel in OKC a.s.a.p. the wife was crapping herself but I just drove with the traffic. We made it just in time when the heavens opened but the tornado had discipated by the time that storm cell got to us

I was driving home from my sister’s house on the severe storm that was coming into Piedmont. The lightning and rain were so bad. I couldn’t see far in front of my car. It usually takes me 20 mins to get from her house to mine, that night it took me an hour.

JoeTheWX Man17 I do have coverage from KFOR but sadly it starts after 930pm. So it misses all the tornado action.

Sorry to see this for the people there. What they need if possible is underground lines. Here in Fallon, NV that's what we have.

THE STORY OF MY LIFE- I'm in Tulsa just 90 miles from Oklahoma City. And at about 12:30 we had the angriest Storm come through Tulsa with about 60 to 65 mile-an-hour wind gust and I went out to put down my umbrellas I'm partially crippled just with a o lower lumbar scoliosis I don't walk as well as I should I'm still young and has surgery coming but not quite as coordinated as I used to be at the moment. Well when I was trying to shut the umbrella down I have a 2 seer outdoor lawn furniture that's real nice and the umbrella was in the middle and I slipped because there was mud under my feet that had turned intow slip and slide.. so down I went with my phone in my hand and my rear end on the ground in the mud and it was lightning like I had never seen in the clouds were real low so it made the thunder extremely loud and I wasn't about to try to get up by myself and I'm kind of laughing at the same time I'm kind of fearful as lightning and whatever else is going to be coming along and so I called two or three of my friends at work and Maya condominium Park and also some neighbors cuz I had my phone with me which was now covered with mud and nobody answered not one person. I don't know if I was being avoided or they all had to work the next day unfortunately I'm retired just tabled. And out of all the times I needed somebody I could not get anybody so I just kept my head down and it was pouring I mean rain was so Wendy the drops were huge and I just put my head down and said a prayer lol Is that the Lord if you could just do me a favor and get me through this so that I can get up and get in the house and a couple people tried to call me back and my phone was distorted and I couldn't read it and I couldn't tell who was calling nor could I pick up the call. So bad just kept getting worse and worse. Lol it was a bad a 30-minute visit on the ground on my are in the mud until that angry storm moved on through in August we're supposed to be just more than hot and once it did I was able to maneuver myself back into my house and begin the cleanup process. My mother used to say no matter what just laugh. No matter how bad it is just laugh because really worried about it crying about it's not going to help make the best of it and laugh. So my friends be careful be safe and don't forget to laugh.🤭😅😂🤣🤭
