I just loved this man since I was 5 years old in 1971 when my late brother played Lucky Man by ELP to me when he returned from Vietnam. When I got into my teens, I remember pulling my brother's ELP albums, looking at them, listening to the music. I thought “ Wow! These guys are three very talented musicians and good looking too. My personal favorite was Greg 😍. His voice was just phenomenal. I never got a chance to see ELP or Greg live (😢) , but have seen Carl's band who are terrific. Rest In Peace maestro Keith and beautiful Greg and thank you Carl for carrying on the legacy. ✌🏻❤️🤘🏻 Love for King Crimson as well!

And so the ailing Sir Gregory du Lac bravely faced his last battle, having bid his many friends adieu with his finest ballads. I was too young to realize just how wonderful his work was and would yet become. Ave atque vale, sweet sir. Your music matters to me now, when I need it most.

Some folks didn't like the recorded backup stuff he played to, but it was okay as far as I was concerned. I'm just so happy that I got a chance to see this legend!

I saw ELP here in Montreal when they were touring to support the "Works" albums. It was one of the best concerts that I have ever seen!

So haunting. Loved GL. Father Christmas & Lucky Man to this very day are two of my fav songs by him. Such a joy to listen to him & his storytelling. Miss GL. It's March 2022, now sadly only CP is left from ELP. It's bittersweet to see this video, makes me cry.

Nobody sounds like their young self when they're 60 years plus, but Greg had a true gift...that tone. I miss him already. Go back, listen to court of the crimsom king and tarkus. Some wonderful music.

Indeed, in his day, Greg had the most powerful yet soothing vocal tone. I still feel his best vocal work is on 'Epitaph' from KC's debut album.

Amazing. When Greg began to sing tears came to my eyes. Beautiful, amazing song. This may be my favorite version... but check out Judy Dyble's version!

Great story Greg--ah em ...Mr Lake!--like you guitar version --what happened to I McDonald after all this--sounds as if there is a synthesized flute solo--not bad and sticks to the original format which is refreshing for me as a novice flutist.

I can't understand most of what he is saying. It is the combination of the echoing vocal and my tiny phone speaker.

He was over 60 in this video, his voice was still great. In 2016 he died. We all age & due. Just listen to his strong voice & enjoy. He is missed.
