Agreed. We couldn't wait to watch all the episodes and the Queens (all of them) did not disappoint. Was happy to of met The Vivienne for the first time, she was spot-on. Of course not all the stories were told, but I felt a genuine connection to them all, especially Yvie, Jaida, and Trinity The Tuck. Yvie continues to demonstrate her winning spirit and Jaida was a complete surprise, not having watched her season. Trinity The Tuck was a joy to watch- always so happy to be in the moment and to help her sisters out. The Finale was a bit all over the place- but I think even the production learned a thing or two. So happy to have this type of entertainment as a queer person.

I didn't watch the season but I believe her when she talks about being edited to be a brave good sport. I have a few friends with chronic illnesses that say that their jobs do something like that whenever the company needs to "show diversity", their words not mine. Like when one friend, who needs a mobility aid and works on the third floor, was dragged front and center when the elevators got fixed so she didn't have to use the freight one anymore and afterwards her boss was snippy because she, "didn't look grateful enough"

I've thought about a no elimination season for awhile tbh, even though we didn't see a ton of it, this format is the only way we've seen this level of strategizing and alliances. The normal format it you can't build those things up because people get eliminated so quickly. You could also do a mix and no one gets eliminated until half way through and then have an episode where you cut like half the cast, I think that would be a gag, and then maybe the remaining season goes normally or something. Just because you keep everyone around doesn't mean things will be drama free or that everyone wins or something, if anything keeping queens around gives a greater opportunity for more drama and good TV.

I feel like since they edited out the negative critiques, they were probably really harsh towards Yvie and didn’t show it. They probably kept trying to push her more into the narrow scope of what RuPaul expects drag to be. If that was true, that on top of them cutting out her very real struggles with her health so it didn’t put a damper on their happy shallow narrative of the season, I could see how she could feel very negative about the entire way she was shown. As someone with a chronic illness, I would have much rather seen the reality of her struggles with her health bc I don’t get to see representative of people like me without it being sugar coated and turned into a feel good moment for healthy people to talk about how brave and what a trooper you are.

Look, I'm not saying WoW is right to edit out some important stuff like Yvie's struggles or a queen's best jokes during the roast. But at the same time it's like, at this point surely you know what signed up for? You've done it before, you know how Drag Race works and that the producers will only show what they want to. I'm not saying Yvie and the other queens aren't entitled to feel some type of way because of the edit/favoritism etc., but if you want a fair competition and to have the best edit at all times, Drag Race is not the place. Also I'm sure all the favoritism talk is about Jinkx, but let's make one thing very clear: Jinkx 100% deserved to win, period.

I think All-Stars season 7 was my favorite BY FAR, not only was everyone very talented due to all being winners but also the fact that one mistake early on didn't mean to see what else those queens were capable of and gave both us, the fans, and also the judges more time to evaluate the growth and talents of the contestant queens. I would love to see this format go forward, with the criticisms of the judges being more well-rounded rather than all Paula Abdul praise. Here's the thing about criticism, it has to be constructive in order to cause any growth of the persons receiving it. It isn't enough to just tell someone what they are doing right or what they are doing wrong. They need to see their strengths and also where opportunities for growth are otherwise, those persons will either feel hopelessly bad (or conversely motivated with no direction) or feel great about their product without realizing how to make it even better and more well-rounded. But I have to say, I really don't care for "Legendary Legend Stars" please, for the love of all that is good, change that double alliteration to something less goofy and is more euphonious.
@MarcosIsABaritone

All the "T" being spilled from every Queen - about not getting a fair edit and adequate representation story-wise, may be accurate. HOWEVER, let no one forget that this was the first season ever to NOT eliminate and send home any cast member prematurely, allowing them all screen time to participate in every challenge, runway and workroom shenanigans. That's a gift as far as exposure and a payment made in respect for their respective art. NOW, there are only 12 episodes to be divided amongst 8 dynamic personalities. So, OF COURSE, their will be editing choices. And, yes, those choices may not account for individual peaks and valleys at the expense of a cohesive narrative which prioritizes the audience's entertainment.

The problem is the fans don't understand that the narrative is prioritized for entertainment not accuracy. Then you are getting mad at the cast for saying things did not happen like you think. So maybe pump your brakes the next time you have something negative to say about Shea being in the finale.

I agree that Shea was discredited. There were several challenges she could've been in the top for, but production seemed hellbent on making sure everyone got spread out wins, so Shea winning the talent show and going into the top 4 with only 2 total wins felt weird. Also, I don't think they should be doing lipsyncs for the crown if the lipsyncs don't ultimately matter. It made the whole finale feel weird when both winners (Jinkx and Raja) lost their lipsyncs lol

In my head, Shea should have 4 stars because she shouldve won for that episode where they reinterpreted Ru's looks, and that episode with the social media dances, and finally the 4th star from the Talent show. Instead production denied her those wins and then they had to scramble and come up with that 3-stat Talent show shenanigans. Also, Raja shouldve won just as many stars.

.... Actually.... If you see it... And knowing certain facts about each episode... They did paint this season to show Yvie to be in her "finality".. I sadly made a joke before last week stating that "they have a great Montage of beautiful moments for her....." and this sadly validated that thought (not speaking ill of her but well it's sad we know we are losing her) ... Same goes for Roger and how they are done and don't wanna come back... Raja always made us understand her and her coming & goings and she's done going now

I will never understand why people think you need negative critique, or drama to make good television. I enjoyed all of AS7 without the negative critique, because for a winners season, it felt right that they got all praise. This season was really designed as a victory lap for all of them. That’s why all of them got to stay throughout the entire competition. They all got to show everything in their suitcase and every runway they planned, which makes sense because the budget put into all stores is always going to be insane, especially in all winners season. This format wouldn’t work for a regular season of All-Stars or a regular season of drag race, but it does work well for winners because it highlights the interpersonal relationships more. These people already won and proved that they are amazing at their drag. This season was essentially just here is a deeper look at these personalities and their drag styles . It genuinely almost felt like a showcase and I’m not mad at that. Also, if they want to do a reunion without world of wonder, we will literally be waiting two or three years at least before they would be able to release it or even maybe film it. To avoid legal trouble they would have to wait till the NDA they signed expired.

I am sure there is some form of a "do not reveal" clause in the Drag Race contract the queens must sign b4 appearing on the show. A private"tea spilling" reunion would be detrimental to all the queens involved. This is no more than disgruntle lip service!

I think AS7 set the stage for something different within the franchise but needs a few tweaks. I would like DR to go back to the way it was in earlier seasons and AS7 feels the closest we have come in a long while but it was a little too ‘fluffy’ but still a decent blueprint for future seasons I will forever be searching the interwebs for any leaked footage of Raja popping off at Michelle 😂! Overall though AS7 is one of my favourite seasons

The season was fun to watch and no doubt all the queens were given a chance to shine. But it was obvious that the fix was in. Raja is great, but she shouldn’t have won those lip synchs. And the 3 stars at the end clearly had Shea’s name on them. All in all, I’m glad Jinx won.

Jinkx also isn’t a messy queen. She and BenDeLaCreme are both pretty good about keeping the drama out of their drag personas and I actually appreciate that. So maybe Jinkx was given preferential treatment, or maybe she’s that good that it just felt that way to the queens that kept losing to her. DeLa faced a lot of that same kind of criticism after she quit her All Stars season, but she just kept her mouth shut and rose above it.

Great compilation of tea! Thanks for making this. There’s controversy regarding the final episode and it being rigged for Jinkx. Apparently, Bob and Monét discussed the final lipsync on patreon and revealed that Jinkx STOPPED LIPSYNCING during the Nikki Minaj rap portion of “Swish Swish” and just WATCHED MONÉT rap (and slay) the entire thing. This is why the producers edited it out because crowning Jinkx the winner would have been too obvious a fix had they left it in. Shade. Makes sense that Jinkx’s edit throughout the season made her look hilarious and campy (certainly the most airtime even though all her jokes were old and overdone material, thx KZitem) while the other queens had their best stuff cut. We know who f-cked Monét frfr. It was the producers!

@@eastexotic you want to stay in an illusion of a reality show? How paradoxically…strange. Again, from this video we are commenting on, it can clearly be gleaned that the editing favored certain queens over others but you stay in your fantasy and believe whatever the great Oz suggests to you. 🙄 Jinkx is great at acting, campy comedy, and lounge singing but, let’s be honest, she isn’t a good lipsync performer, can’t sew, and she is not a fashion queen. These are facts that she admits.

Vivienne was kind of robbed but her makeup and performance skills don’t scream USA!! And we haven’t had time get used to her over time and fall in love like with Jinx. I think it musta been hard for girls like Yvie and Viv who aren’t such in your face scene stealers or legendary legends of years and years. Wish that was shown more, or like Viv missing her husband.
