In my opinion, the Arcane Desert is actually an amazing biome, especially for the dwarves. You were onto something about rebellion being the orc's balance. See, orcs in worldbox actually have penalties to their diplomacy, which is a stat that is almost entirely tied to rebellions. They dominate on combat against other races, but they're designed in such a way that they are meant to be unable to unify like others can. I believe it's linked to the racial savage trait, but not 100% sure.

George has always been loyal, don't you dare call him a traitor. He clearly saw that the rebellion was going to overwhelm Kachow, and used his gift of immortality to persist throughout the years, infiltrating the Rebels and continously splintering them and causing infighting, letting kachow slowly build back up in the background and allowing it's comeback. You think that he died when you turned off rebellions, but in fact it's the opposite, he died, and then there stopped being rebellions. Then Kachow had to grow the hard way.

My personal canon is that George didn't want to join these empires it was that these empires were formed FOR George after people see his immortality and despite him just wanting to be left alone the empires still formed and claimed him as a citizen with others forming just to make him their leader. When George was "taken" by another empire the previous almost always would launch a holy war to take him back. These string of wars would be known as the Georgian Crusades.

Rebellions make it so the dominance always changes hands, and things are happening. Orcs have terrible diplomacy, so they might be a major threat to others, but will suddenly turn on one another, which impedes them from actual domination. They also learn the slowest.

George start off his life as a new village was founded by the humans in order to establish trade and comers in the new world During this time he would work his ass off helping the small comity for many years but not long after he was blessed by the gods for his hard work and was granted immortality and insane durability and for some odd reason was resistant to fire , He retired living a more peaceful life while small village he once knew grew into a large kingdom it had gone to war. He came out of retirement and soon after became KING of this great kingdom however was over thrown during a rebellion and appointed general then he secretly joined the enemy as an undercover agent where the former kingdom he served had been almost wiped out he started his own rebellion and became KING of this rebellion then for the hell of it as he was immortal after all decided to leave this rebellion and JOIN another one just for the hell of it. After destroying the kingdom he went undercover in he decided to start another rebellion. He then joined back to the kingdom he was serving before destroying the kingdom he went undercover in He then left this kingdom and joined another one then not a year later joined yet back to the kingdom and became king forcefully taking the crown then his kingdom he took the crown for was destroyed during this he committed several war crimes After the years went on and the days went by his body began to rot as the rebellion stopped he grew anger and allegedly died however legend says that George lived and met a witch that revived him to his youth and he made kingdoms and split them up for fun and still does it to this day.

I wonder how splitting orcs into 3 species would change things: 1. orcs that are very undeveloped with low populations, low administration and decent health and lifespan. 2. Goblins that have incredibly high population density and capacity, very low administration, low heath and damage, massive armies. 3. Uruks with high health, high damage, better weapons, superior technology, high administration but low population capacity per village with low village land area potential. Orc species can take each other over and it doesn’t change their species, just adding another layer to their internal politics and variety of armies. And if uruks take over an orc village their get a drastic lifespan, population density + capacity, and technically buff that disappears if they lose Uruk leadership. Meaning there’s many tiny tribes of fairly hardy orcs, maybe 1 tribe is actually the bigger uruks, the bad terrain has some tiny but highly populated goblin villages. If the uruks aren’t eliminated fast they will take over the rest and cause a population and development surge until the uruks are destroyed and the orcish villages rapidly dissemble. Therefore adding complexity, variety of choice, and a drastic nerf to orcs. Imo that’d be the ideal way to fix orcs if it could be done
