there were 99 neutral plates, rectified 220vAC was applied at the two ends of the stack ... the plates in my device are rough cout to an 8" x 8" form factor ... they are of 20 gauge, 316L stainless ... for 110vAC opperation, I center tap a negative connection and feed positive to the two ends ... works well either way ...

When you drill holes in those containers, you drastically lower the pressure they hold without cracking.

thank you. the problem with it @ 8 lpm it gets hot. not enough surface area on the electrode, but i do agree with the drycell. trying to keep a unique design with them may be a challenge. i really dont want to copy anyones design.

Nice setup! What is total active surface area you're workin w/ w/ this cell? Are you using a PWM in these tests or are you using brute force straight DC? Thnx for posting! Nice!! Sincerely, Superbee1970

While I appreciate your desire to create something unique, its pretty tough to be exclusive with these things. Just about everything I have seen so far was done by someone nearly 100 years ago, including the dry cell design. However, there is much to be said for taking a well known, reliable design, and finding ways to improve it so it works better or provides some unique characteristics. No dishonor in that effort at all.

A good idea for cooling is buy a universal transmission cooler for vehicle's and a pump and couple fans to cool it. Thats what im gonna do.

I know that you are a pro at this, but isn't it dangerous to run that thing without a spark arrestor, inline from the bubbler to the torch tube? Also, should there be an expansion tank with regulator prior to the torch? I'm really getting into this HHO torch thing!

I was recently able to run my EBN prototype with 220v at about 17a using a total of 100 plate gaps. Output was just shy of 20 lpm and the unit did not exceed 100F. Fluid temps were at about 120F. Gas being delivered to the torch was clear with no visible water vapor and was about 100F temperature. Nice clean high blue spectrum flame from the torch. Did very well with a .060 orifice. One advantage to a setup like I am using is this ability to reconfigure on the fly for given purpose ...

actually, if you are able to get 8 lpm at 120v with only 10 amps, you are doing pretty well with the design you have ... that would be a little better than 6.5 mmw which is about as good as some of the best Tero type dry cells are doing ... but particularly for working with a torch, I still prefer the dry cell purely for its structural integrity ... this is a very nice build ... lot of thougt and work went into your rig ... I am impressed ...

this is exactly what i am looking to do. I like the fact that the plates being exposed to the air helps keep the system cool. on the 100 plates, how many are neutral between actives? and what size is the block when complete? I will look into your videos for more. thanks for all your info. I cant wait to actualy build one of these dry cells.

If u seperated the oxygen from the hydro u used a modded cutting torch u than could regulate the mix and also have a blast of oxy to cut way better. I made a setup this way and wow does it rock that way! i had one setup like yrs with the gas mixed and i never used it for one reason think about this what happens when u have oxy and hydro as gas mixed under pressure? Well u can get them to rebond back into water and if u know what how atoms combine well u get a spark not cool with all that gas!

I am SICK of seeing people say that the power being dissipated through their cells is THE SAME as what they are putting out. Sure an electrolytic cell acts like a capacitor BUT it acts more like a resistance than anything. Ive done this test with a battery booster.... set it to boost on 60 amps... measure the current going through the cell and its ONLY 8 amps.... its like resistors... two 1/4 watt resistors wrapped together have the same resistance but are now 1/2 watt resistors....

that was a month ago when i said something so at first i had no clue why the hell you even said something to me lol but i know this now i actually have equtions written out to me help me with my projects and with my calculations i just cant understand how so many people could say that you would need hundreds sometimes thousands of liters per mintue to run a normal sized engine (4cyl to 8cyl)

lol thats not 8lpm. thats more like 3lpm. and with a wet cell set up like that its probably half steam from the built up heat. and i can bet now (4 years later) it doesnt work. because your electrodes are corroded. unless you used titanium, theyre probably gone.

So if you get one and make hydrogen say one of the bottle youhave in video full and meter it out into your cars air intake. ( through an orfice) to control flow. would that one bottle last for 100 miles of driving. and if I have a car the gets 30 mpg how much increase will I see. What did you see?

somone explain why people are saying HHO gas. There is no such thing. H2o? Or Hydrogen and oxygen seperated? It has to be one or the other unlesss there is some other process going on i am not aware of. Pleeeese explain.

Excellent man I had no idea that people had advanced hydrogen tecnology so far! That is a very slick machine you have there. Is there a lot of danger in it? Remember the Hendenburg and the zeplin. I gues the space shuttle had a leak around the rubber o rings and it exploded. Well I guess it not really anymore dangerous than the gasoline in my car that is pretty explosive so oxegen.

I agree with you somewhat. But two resistors in series are additive in resistive value, if they are in parallel, assuming the same resistance for both, the resistance is half.
