I started with two strand twists 10 weeks ago. Someone told me today that they like my hair. I was so surprised but it made me feel good 😁😁😁

Hey... I'm 10 weeks in too and my re-twist keeps unraveling at the roots. What do you re-twist with? My re-twist only last about 5 days. Sigh.
@HeyMsVal
4 жыл бұрын
@@tbrigorman Oh yes. Mine unravel at the root too. But I'm determined to not use a bunch of products. So I've tried to stick with rose water and castor oil. When I try to palm roll them I use a hair clip at the root and leave them in over night. Once I used a very small amount of gel but I was too afraid of flaking so I wont do that again.

Your locs are coming along sooooo nicely! I started my journey this past Saturday with two strand twists much smaller. In these few days I'm like why didn't I do this sooner??? Lol I'm so living for this low maintenance.

Millicent all journeys are different but what I did use to lock mines faster within 2-3 months was a sea salt mixture spritz. It helped plus I washed my hair every 3-4days (during colder months it’s once a week but December...I’m waiting til end of month=lazzzzyyyy weather 😆). But I love yours and your length. I use to want the length fast but I’m actually enjoying it to back of my neck. ✌🏽

I totally get it. My first set loced pretty fast but with my current set, my hair texture changed and it's taking longer to loc. I do catch myself comparing sometimes and I have to stop myself. 11 months in, its finally thriving.

I’m two months in and I wear a headwrap almost every day because I just can’t present the way I’m used to at this stage. I’m excited about the end result, but I’m very nervous about the in between stages because I didn’t want to feel the need to cover my hair daily for this long. Then there’s the additional concern that I’m job hunting in a few months and I miss the big hair. But even if I combed them out, I wouldn’t have the big hair I miss because my hair was cut (not to my wishes) and I was still dealing with that when I decided to loc
@NaturallyMichy

Luckily the end between stages varies for everyone, so you may be able to enjoy it better than your current stage. Don't worry about what others think of your hair. If you have the skills to perform well at your current job, then the hair shouldn't matter.

No, I didn't cut it that way, it's natural. 🤗 My hair on the sides (looser curl pattern) is a different texture from the hair in the back (kinkier), which created a natural bob.
