The last one is blatantly obvious why R2 never told Luke. The very reason R2's memories were never wiped was because unlike C-3P0, R2 could keep secrets.

Why didn't R2 tell Luke about his father? Could it be because Obi-Wan and Bail Organa said that Luke and Leia were to be raised in secret? R2 was simply following orders.

There is a more structural problem that is responsible for many of these issues. It seems that in 1977 George Lucas imagine the Jedi as a couple dozen swordsmen living in a monastery somewhere, with some secretive powers like mental suggestion or short range telekinesis. But then later he decided that they were 20,000 space wizards with incredibly interesting and militarily destabilizing abilities, leading troops in a major war all over the galaxy and playing a pivotal role in galactic politics.

In the Legends Trilogy, Dark Nest, Luke stumbled across a series of recordings in decaying memory sectors that depict that R2 recorded several scenes from Revenge of the Sith from Padmé's pregnancy reveal, Anakin's nightmare, Obi-Wan's visits to Padmé's apartment, Anakin telling of the mission to Mustifar, and the confrontation before Anakin and Obi-Wan dueled it out.

In canon a better answer as to why Vader did not recognize C3PO; C3PO was a different color and was one Vader built himself. C3PO was also shown to be just one of those particular models. I forgot where exactly in canon there was one that had a female voice. And R2D2 never saying anything to Luke to how he knew Vader is his father; R2 was present quite frequently around Obi Wan and Bail Organa as well as Yoda. And during the clone wars R2 was proven more times than none that he could be trusted with secrecy and is considered family among the Skywalker family. In one episode of the clone wars Anakin was called out by either Mace Windu or Obi Wan or both I can't remember on not wiping R2's memory as part of a standard droid procedure. Anakin refused to do so because he had a bond with the unit. R2 even was even part of a droid team in an arc of the clone wars as a soldier. So, it is entirely possible as a unit to be trusted; R2 was most likely instructed by Obi Wan and Yoda to not say anything to Luke or Leia if he ever did encounter Anakin/Vader again until the time was right. R2 did work alongside the likes of Yoda so he knew when a request by a Jedi master involving something important, they had a reason. And to add further context; when Yoda went to go learn additional training at the end of the clone wars R2 was present when Yoda was given foresight on possible events. Which is why I also believe why as a reason he gave up so easily against Palpatine in the rise of the Sith. Yoda knew something was coming true and he felt he had to let it play out whether he liked it or not.

C-3PO is seen to be a type of mass produced droids in the galaxy. Sure, Anakin build him, but out of spare droid parts. In the opening scene of ANH, you see a silver droid that's the same type as C-3PO. There's also TC-14 from the beginning of TPM, another silver one from Cloud City in TESB and a white one at Echo base in the same movie. Plus, droids of that type are littered throughout the Clone Wars movie and TV show. And, in ANH, the Stormtroopers on the Death Star didn't seem to think C-3PO's presence was weird, indicating there were droids of that type on that station. So, is it really that weird that Vader sees a droid that's a common type and doesn't recognize him? I mean, he probably doesn't even ask the droid's number. He really only encountered C-3PO on Cloud City, where he was after Han, Leia and Chewie, not droids.

Did people forget the end of ep3 R2 and Obi-Wan both assume that Anakin was dead Darth Vader hidden for a while and hunting down jedi for many years In no way could they have known he lived with cybernetics It is highly likely that R2 learned the truth after Luke likely explained it to the others You can argue that at the time of the original trilogy that it was not thought of that far ahead but it was definitely a retcon that did not break anything because it was still technically true Darth Vader did kill Anakin that day

And if you notice in the scene with Master Yoda and the Younglings....there IS a'certain' Togruta practicing her lightsaber skills...COUKDbe an Ashoka reference?...or maybe a little sister? 🤔🤔. In the Clone Wars series, Anakin DID refer to Ahs9ka as 'Little Sister', and the two had a very strong bond!

my headcannon for why Snoke didn't sense Kylo about to kill him is that, Palpatine needed him dead in order to further compel Ben to the darkside. Considering Snoke was as disposable as he was, I assume his death was planned by Palpatine.

1) mundi's narrative purpose in that TPM scene was to "be wrong" and demonstrate the hubris of the Jedi at that point 2) by the end of the acolyte there's nothing that implicates him having any knowledge of anything to do with the "Sith" nor did any living Jedi at the end ever hear the word Sith even mentioned. honestly, no issue no problem

@@Backtothezack Only if you read the book or comic though. For those that only watch the films, then it's still a plot hole. It's not a bad idea to try and "fix" these things in the lore, but it would've been better if the original writers had given them a little more thought beforehand. It is what it is though. well the thing about Din Djarin not knowing what a Jedi should still be an issue, even if he never met one as both sith and jedi were quite well known by Mandalorian warrior clans due to the Mandalorian wars which made training on how to take on force wielders a thing, particularly those wielding lightsabers as that means they'd need flak and shrapnel weapons and not blasters plus the difference between Sith and Jedi due to their distinct difference in battlestyles. and come on, the Acolyte is not to be taken serious as it was written by someone that literally hate the fans of the franchise lmao
