Yup, Rysn is going to become one of the MOST mobile people on Roshar despite her legs, lol. Oh, and she also seems to be achieving Heightenings thanks to the Dawnshard so she's likely going to become stronger than a Radiant. I'm glad, cause once I saw how much focus was put into her disability at the start, I knew there was no chance she was going to become a Radiant and heal up. Now she still gets to be powerful, which means she gets to be a major part in later stories

I think you’re absolutely right about her becoming the most mobile person. That’s definitely the idea, and I also love how Sanderson really embraced her disability and worked a lot with people with disabilities to write this character. I hope she has a bigger part in later stories!

I think that Rysn can't use the dawnshards because she doesn't have access to any invested arts. The way I interpreted it is that dawnshards vastly increase the potency of any invested arts, to the point of being cosmere level significant, but don't give you any powers by themselves. A tremendous power multiplier basically. Zero times one million is still zero though, so for now its safe for Rysn to be the Dawnshard, but it would be dangerous if she got access to an invested art, like if she bonded a spren or an honorblade. Then she would become very dangerous. Thats just the way I interpreted it though, so I may not be completely right about that.

Though she has her senses improved (sight, taste, hearing) like she has achieved a higher level of heightening

@@davidgarridoecunha7102it’s because she has achieved the equivalent of the X heightening in investiture so perfect pitch , color matching etc , meaning she has all the benefits of breath BUT she can’t awaken objects or invest her “breath” into anything

This book was extremely boring. This was very surprising to me because the first two books in this series are both in my top 10 favorite books of my entire life. For whatever reason, the author (I'm not sure it was really Sanderson and I really hope not) picked the most uninspiring characters of the entire Stormlight Archives cast and created a giant banter session. I literally had to speed read the large portions of this story just to get to the parts that actually advance the plot. The book reads like an 11 year old girls take on Inclusion and Unconscious Bias, where the foreigners and women and handicapped people all think and talk about their feeling with each other ad nauseum. It was literally terrible and reeks of woke virtue signaling. I think the author wants a TV series. I only read this because events from this story were alluded too immediately in the 4th book. If the 4th book is ANYTHING like this, I'm completely done with this series and this author. I've already come to terms with the fact that Martin won't ever finish ASOIAF, doing without Sanderson will be a walk in the park compared to that.
