You say it doesn't fit the thetford but in the reviews someone says "Perfect for RV bidet. Searched high and low for a bidet solution for an RV toilet (Thetford AquaMagic II porcelain bowl). It is perfect for RV in that you can run a hot water line to have the full experience with no electricity needed. RV toilets aren't quite as deep as household, so I found the spray on the bidet is slightly more forward, but that is to be expected. The clean feature is nice to give you a chance to get the hot water by the time you're ready to use it on the posterior wash."

We tried installing a bidet on our Airstream, but it had no pressure at all. After watching your video, we’ll try again hopefully it works. If it does, I’ll upload a video. 🤞🏼🤞🏼

Yeah using PEX tubing only with PEX connections is a smart thing to do.

This is so timely! Yes, the paper shortage appears to be no longer, but full-time RV living does present waste management problems. I plan to install a bidet in my next RV and was wondering how to add hot and cold water for mixing, both above floor, and at source of water heater. Could you possibly do a follow up video with the link to the supplies you actually used for the final install that worked? I understand consistency regarding Pex is important and having the right tools is also critical and there may be items you used that are unfamiliar to RV'ers. Thanks so much for making this video. Side note...please let the manufacturer of your 5th wheel know about this upgrade and suggest new models have a T-fitting installed that allows owners to add a bidet as an option or retrofit later.

Thanks for the Ideas Maureen! Your suggestion to share the final fix info is a decent one. Makes me wonder if I might be able to create an easy adapter or something that could just be connected in between the water heater and the primary hot water hose. Or at the sink connection. I think they're the same thread pattern.. hmmmm

I actually did this modification to my Grand Design Solitude 380FL in May 2021. Since I didn't replace the standard size bowl, I had to make some slight modifications and cut around the large holes that mount to the bowl in order to mount with that rise on the back of the toilet bowl (I couldn't mount the Luxe Bidet since I couldn't slide it back far enough), but be careful, the mounting hole on the left (near the controls) has a water line in it!! (I found out the hard way). In order to still make a secure mounting, I only cut 1/4 of the hole away, leaving plenty to securely mount to the bowl. Otherwise the installation went quite well and we have enjoyed the benefit of it ever since. The Luxe Bidet add-on is relatively inexpensive and very straightforward on the installation.

Thanks for the detailed reply! Good to know on the round bowl. We also have a 1/2 bath with the dometic 310 and haven't taken on this mod for that toilet yet

Great Video, I don't live in an RV but someday I may need this info you never know. I''m an IT administrator and I'm finding it hard to locate a remote friendly company so I can enjoy the freedom you have. Would it be possible for you to speak about your remote work setup, and or include ways to find remote work for us computer geeks. Thanks again.

Hey Chuck, I have been a longtime employee of the same company, which has allowed me the flexibility to work remote for certain parts of the year. Granted the past 12 months most of our employees have been remote, some of us a little more remote than others 😀

Thanks for taking the time to make the video. I do have a question. Why use the crimp style clamp on the new install instead of an Ideal clamp? I only ask because I was in the middle of a camping trip and needed to clean out my flush valve. I just about tore up the supply hose trying to get the crimp clamp off. I replaced them with Ideal clamps which are much easier to deal with.

I found that the screw style hose clamps don't always allow for sufficient tightening to prevent leaks. A good set of linesman pliers cuts these off pretty easily.

Nice video. Question: What is the distance from the wall behind your toilet to the waste outlet hole? I have eleven inches in my RV. Also, would you happen to have the anchor bolt measurements you could share? I will gladly buy a toilet like yours to install my LUXE Bidet Neo 120 onto and get rid of my Thetford Aqua-Magic II toilet.

Seems like the amount of water to wash would be close to that amount needed to flush.
