I owned one and worked on many. It was a game changer. In that time there was nothing in that price range. It made it possible for bands to have their own desk. And the rack version made InEar systems for the bands possible. But I feel like I’m grown out. 32Ch, only 8 Slots for FX and PlugIns. I prefer SQ. But Wing is a great choice too. Especially if you want to keep stageboxes and P16. We use that as livestream mixer in church. Same great sound as X32. Great features like PlugIns and 6Band PEQ per channel. User Fader Pages and so much more. So here you get your update from X32. And the touchscreen will do something if you’re touching it. ;-) I’m waiting for a smaller version… And maybe a WingRack to do bigger IEM racks?

that phone slot was specifically for the iPhone 5 at the time the mixer was released. It could've maybe fit other phones so I could be wrong on the "specifically" part LOL. I loveeeee this mixer!!!! My eyes landed it on it in 2012 when I went to visit another church. I immediately told all personnel in power at my church that we NEEDED to get this board. This is a mixer I would recommend to ANY church still with an analog board. It's so good, you can even settle with the X32 Compact and still get the same quality and experience. Also, there's the extended capabilities that can be done with this mixer too ie: multitrack recording, use of Waves SuperRack, etc.

Miss our church's X32 Compact, it was stolen two weeks ago. 😥 Anyways, when we had it, I really liked how easy it was to record all of the channels, and the different routing setups. It wasn't straight forward and since I'm self taught, I had trouble figuring out some stuff I mean I'll confess that I didn't even use the onboard effects (because I didn't know how to use them. 😅). It's a pretty capable board and if we get funds to get another mixer, I might they get this again (WING is nice but outside the price range and not practical for our church size). If Behringer are to do a V2 of the X32, they should include Dante as standard, it's criminal it's not included.

Hello, I'm a total beginner when it comes to recording technology. I'm trying to familiarize myself with it somehow. When I was looking for a suitable mixing console for home recording purpose, I was looking at the X32 and I have the following problem: I noticed that the device has a lot of XLR connections , but only 6 line inputs. I only have a vocal microphone and a modeling guitar that would need an XLR, the rest are all synthesizers and they all need a line input. Do you know an alternative to the X32 that has more line inputs? And can you please explain to me why so many mixers have significantly more inputs than channels? Somehow I don't really understand the point🤷🏻♂️ Thanks!

The X32 was/is basically a knock-off of the Yamaha LS9-32, with two significant differences: 1.) VCA/DCA groups. X32 has 'em. The LS9 did not. 2.) Price. This was main reason for the X32's rise to fame. It significantly undercut the cost of other similar digital mixers at the time, like the LS9. There are other differences as well, but these two are by far the most important.
