These commercials aired on ABC on May 5th, 1980
1. Greyhound
2. Kodak Colorburst 250 (I assume the mother had mumps at some point and is therefore immune and not also contagious? Otherwise this whole strategy backfires)
3. Enjoli
4. Mounds and Almond Joy
5. Mazda GLC
6. Promo for "Three's Company", "Taxi" and "Hart To Hart"
7. ABC Station ID
8. TV Spot for "The Nude Bomb" (A sequel movie to the "Get Smart" TV series, the strange title comes from the plot of the film...where the terrorist organization KAOS sets off a bomb that destroys only clothing. Ironically, this movie did not perform well at the box office, so having "bomb" in the title is fitting)
9. P.V.M. Appetite Control Capsules
10. Promo for "Happy Days" and "Laverne & Shirley"
11. "That's Incredible" Commercial Bumper
12. Promo for "Good Morning America"
13. Crocker Bank
14. KABC 7 Eyewitness News Bumper
15. Oil Of Olay
16. Kellogg's Honey & Nut Corn Flakes
17. Burger King
18. Promo for "Eight Is Enough", "Charlie's Angels" and "Vega$"
19. Coca Cola
20. Kellogg's Most (A cereal introduced in 1979 and produced until around the mid 80's)
21. "That's Incredible" End Credits (Um, that Alan Landsburg Productions logo sequence at 8:55 is definitely incredible!)
22. ABC News Brief
a. Iranian Embassy siege in London ends (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Iranian... seen as a huge win for the Thatcher government, and the most prominent public deployment of the British Army's secretive SAS unit to date)
23. Ford Thunderbird
b. Bodies of Americans killed in hostage rescue attempt to be flown to Switzerland (Referring to en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operati... Jimmy Carter's failed operation to rescue the hostages in Iran)
24. Promo for "The Return Of The King" (The sequel to Rankin Bass' "The Hobbit" animated TV movie from 1977, this isn't remotely as good as that...but it has some memorable moments, especially the incredible "Where There's A Whip" song: • Where there's a whip, ... I feel like they were also trying to bring a satisfying conclusion to Ralph Bashki's "The Lord Of The Rings" 1978 animated movie, which only adapted the first two books and did not receive a sequel. I wish they had ignored Bashki's strange LOTR movie entirely and made their own versions of "The Fellowship Of The Ring" and "The Two Towers", as their ROTK movie feels strange and unfinished without having extremely important characters such as Aragorn given a proper introduction. Some of the ads from this broadcast were posted back in Vol. 895: • 80's Commercials Vol. 895 )
25. Alpha Beta
26. Pepsi (Filmed at Knott's Berry Farm amusement park in CA. Somewhere I actually have one of those "I Took The Pepsi Challenge" buttons they gave out that matches the yellow van seen here)
27. KABC 7 Eyewitness News Bumper
