Killer video. I totally forgot about Cinderella. I wouldn’t put Motley Crüe in there either. Cheers

Love your videos man... and this one takes me back to the best era of music in history. I know the 50's had the beginnings of rock with Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Elvis, etc... the 60's had the beginnings of hard rock and metal and some of my favorite bands ever, Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, etc... the 70's goes without saying, just so much great music. But the 80's not only had hair/party metals bands like Motley Crue, Ratt, and hundreds more... but also had the beginning of thrash and more extreme metal, but it had videos on MTV that we could all see our favorite bands playing right there on our TV's. The 80's didn't just have the audio to the greatest bands of the era but the video as well. That's why I think it's the greatest era in music history... plus I was born in 72 so the 80's were the prime of my teen years, lol... CHEERS BROTHER

I completely agree with you my man. Mtv played a huge part in the explosion of heavy metal and I don't think at all it would have happened without it. Radio would have gotten a handful of Vans big like it did for pop bands and then bands in the '70s but the music and the look is what was selling in that era and it was huge

My mom listened to all that stuff, minus WASP. I was never into the hair stuff but do enjoy it now when I’m in the mood for it. I was a bit surprised when I saw Winger is playing the progpower fest this year.

I get that. I am willing to bet that if I was much older during the '80s I probably really wouldn't like that stuff much either. I would have gravitated towards the heavier stuff a lot sooner

Let me start with the best...Awesome t shirt dude! Lol! 80's glam metal was a term that was really just deriving from glam rock from the 70's and more about an image... I never considered that derogatory. Hair metal however definitely had a derogatory tones when I heard it used in 90's for sure. Mostly after the new stuff "Grunge" (another term is stupid and actually referes to the clothing style) was the flavor of the day. Great vid my friend. I also totally agree on the Bon Jovi front. Some of their stuff is tolerable (debut & 7800°F)...but its hard rock at best. If I didn't have my grandson's for this stretch, I'd be on this like you on Poison! Lol! Love this idea Brett. Cheers bud! 🍻✌️🤘🎶🤘

Hey buddy. I agree. Hair metal seemed like it was a big dig at those bands. It was just an image and I'm sure a lot of the record companies were pushing the bands to have that image. I've read articles over the years where there was more than a few bands that we all know and love to this day that the record companies really tried to get them to do the hair and the clothing in the vein of the hair metal and Glam metal scene even when those bands didn't want to

Great video dude. I'm a little older than you and grew up in l.a. during these times. Got to see so many of these bands live. Totally agree with the poison album. That motley album you showed is also their best in my opinion .I personally like ratts e.p. better than their other albums. Not sure what you consider queensryche but their e.p. was also awesome. Just found you. Gonna go back and watch all your other videos. 😁

I love Def Leppard they're one of my favorite bands. I think they're a great new wave of British heavy metal band. That's kind of how I classified them. Their first three records. I don't think I really considered them Glam until pour some sugar on me came out. But that's what's great about this whole thing. It's all subjective. Some people consider them new wave of British heavy metal. Others consider them Glam metal from the beginning and I think both can be correct
