Dude! Great info here. I must say I am surprised you are even able to publicly speak on 90% of the items in this video. I’m not allowed to post any pitch decks, let alone mention any crew members or budgets or anything on most of my projects.

Thanks Blaine (just had a glance at your channel and immediately love it btw)! Unless I've signed an NDA on a job or there's some reason not to talk about it I don't see the issue with being honest and up front with everything, that's what I want to achieve with this channel, talk about the things that I wanted / want to know. Never sure why money is kept such a secret. All the words and material that aren't already out in the open elsewhere are written by me and anything that is sensitive I redacted. That being said your comment has made me nervous, like I've been caught doing something naughty at school. Hopefully no one slaps me on the wrist as I want to keep being open when I can about work.

@@ScottPetersFilms thank you! Also, don’t be nervous, I love it. I don’t think there are any other channels that really break this stuff down like you do so it’s very valuable info, fun to watch, extremely useful. Your work also looks great. My intention is not to slap on the wrist, keep it up!

The 80k one looks absolutely gorgeous and i would say 80k well spent. The 8k one however, seems like it was done by a small indie freelance filmmaker.. I still don't get how it could cost that much.. I guess thats because it was Mcdonald's? " charge for the client not the project '' kind of way?

Hey Scott, Thanks for sharing the details. You delivered some outstanding work. I like what you mentioned about working with a smaller crew. Fewer eyes makes it a bit more comfortable to experiment while you're on set. I never thought about it like that.

***CORRECTION*** I was misinformed on the term "Food Economist", didn't think to question it when I learnt it for the first time myself, the term is actually "Home Economist" or "Food Stylist" (which makes way more sense to me). I want this channel to educate, not misinform, so hopefully there aren't too many people going around telling others it's Food Economist now... sorry internet.

A few of them I’ve directly sent links before uploading and asked if it’s ok. In this instance, I got permission to use the footage I shared from McDonald’s ad agency and everything else is out already.

Dumb question but the zoom in you used at 12:50 - is that just a zoom in edit with a ease in or using a plugin? Looks a little better than the usual zoom in to my eye. Thanks

Not a dumb question mate! It’s a scale key frame with an ease on both ends, but then I import into After Effects to be able to click the magical motion blur button.
