This is my 80cc motorized bike I built. Took about 2-3 hours. It gets around 150mpg and is a blast! Build your own and be a little greener! Goes about 30-40mph.
This dude is legend, for a 2009 video. Amazing quality

it makes you go faster because it has less pressure to work against. Longer muffler (exhaust/silencer) makes the engine work harder.

The thing is that I've just recently read the NYS Motor Vehicle classifications, and they clearly say that a motorized bicycle can only be operated off road or on private property. I live in the city, but these laws apply to the entire state. Still, it might be different upstate. Either way, they sure as hell can pull you over on one of these if they catch you on a public street.

This sounds like a fantastic system as an EMP survival system, all you need is an extra ignition coil for the initial EMP damage, and then everything else on it should run wonderfully. This is MUCH cheaper than a car or truck, the parts are cheaper, the gas is better, and you get exercise. Not good for winter or hauling stuff, but if you get a kid trailer or just strap stuff onto a mount it should get you and your basic necessities out of town before the panic sets in. Excellent economy bug out vehicle. Its been 4 or 5 years since you posted this, what do you think of the purchase now?

ive had a few of these and learned a lot. dont worry to much about that exhaust pipe all of those kind do that i ended find a lot of problems with most kits and had to oder certin things to make the bike reliable, it is my daily driver. now the carburetor you have is the best one ive found for these bikes, also ovver time the compression was really low so ended un buying a bigger head and after that i was able to ride it in the rain. i honestly didnt like that fact i had to put $200 more parts in to it to make it work. i but like it now. also that chain if your going to use the bike a lot buy a i believe it a 620 or something anyway is a stronger chain and a little wider but in never broke. there good bike but they do need a ton of maintenance.

In Wisconsin you need to be at least 16 and have a drivers license. It does not need to be registered and you do not need a license plate. The motorized bicycle also needs to stay under 30 mph or it might be considered a motorcycle. Then you would need registration, a license plate, working lights, turn signals and you would need a motorcycle endorsement on your drivers license. No restriction on engine size.
