This brings tears to my eyes, I have a story to share. I was part of a JB tribute band back in 89, I was 17 at the time. The singer was a friend that sounded JUST like him, handsome too, and we got to play quite a lot. At some point life got in the way and we stopped playing, but those were some of the most amazing moments of my life. In 2004 I got told that that same friend had died in a car accident while driving drunk. Justin suffered his OD the next day. It was a very weird coincidence but even if the loss still deeply pains me, I like to think that they actually met in their way to heaven and made an amazing duet. I don't know, it makes feel good. Thanks for the memories, and thanks for the music! RIP Martin and Justin 2004, you will always be remembered

I remember crying myself to sleep when I heard the news that he'd passed. I thought we'd have him so much longer. December 2004 was such a dark time. Cocaine is a hell of a drug. RIP JB 1962-2004

Does anyone else find it sad that these retro remixes are like ten times better than the original "modern" versions?

I can't believe 19 years have passed since he died. He was so young. What a talented man. I saw him live in '85, no autotune, no twerking, no bullshit, just talent. Kids of today have no idea of what real music is.

I remember this song I heard it on my pocket radio for the first time in the summer of 83 I was jamming out with my boyfriend and several lovers it was simple times back then because we had no cell phones back when I was young and the world made sense we didn’t have social media and the closest thing to it was taking shots of coke up in my ass god I miss the 80s music was so much better back then when I was going to college and in my 20s I can’t stand the crap the teens listen to nowadays they should be ashamed of themselves

For all the times that you rained on my parade And all the clubs you get in using my name You think you broke my heart, oh, girl, for goodness' sake You think I'm crying on my own, well, I ain't And I didn't wanna write a song 'Cause I didn't want anyone thinkin' I still care, I don't, but You still hit my phone up And baby, I'll be movin' on And I think you should be somethin' I don't wanna hold back Maybe you should know that My mama don't like you and she likes everyone And I never like to admit that I was wrong And I've been so caught up in my job Didn't see what's going on, but now I know I'm better sleeping on my own 'Cause if you like the way you look that much Oh, baby, you should go and love yourself And if you think that I'm still holdin' on to somethin' You should go and love yourself But when you told me that you hated my friends The only problem was with you and not them And every time you told me my opinion was wrong And tried to make me forget where I came from And I didn't wanna write a song 'Cause I didn't want anyone thinkin' I still care, I don't, but You still hit my phone up And baby, I'll be movin' on And I think you should be somethin' I don't wanna hold back Maybe you should know that My mama don't like you and she likes everyone And I never like to admit that I was wrong And I've been so caught up in my job Didn't see what's going on, but now I know I'm better sleeping on my own 'Cause if you like the way you look that much Oh, baby, you should go and love yourself And if you think that I'm still holdin' on to somethin' You should go and love yourself For all the times that you made me feel small I fell in love, now I feel nothin' at all I never felt so low and I was vulnerable Was I a fool to let you break down my walls? 'Cause if you like the way you look that much Oh, baby, you should go and love yourself And if you think that I'm still holdin' on to somethin' You should go and love yourself 'Cause if you like the way you look that much Oh, baby, you should go and love yourself (yeah) And if you think (you think) that I'm (that I'm) Still holdin' on to somethin' (holdin' on, no) You should go and love yourself
