I still can't believe Scott Hall is not with us anymore.😔 I grew up watching him, from the early 90's, to the WWE'S mid 90's as Razor Ramon to his surprise debut on WCW Nitro, to him being part of the NWO throughout the late 90's, during the big pro wrestling Golden Era boom period, and through his second return to WWE in 2002, to his TNA career. That man did some extraordinary promos...he can be a heel & Babyface and captive the audience and viewers...he became a larger than life mainstream star, who became a pop-Culture phenomenon. You just felt like Scott Hall was always around and will pop up and say " Hey Yo!" I guess it's because he was a part of my childhood and teenage years and early 20's, and I got experienced and witnessed his career as a fan...it's hard to process that he died. He had a legendary & iconic stored career, from (1984-2010) He had an out of this World, mind for the business. RIP Scott Hall/ Razor Ramon God speed Chico (1958-2022) 💪💪

Extremely dissapointed Conrad is not co-hosting this episode (which we've all been waiting and requesting for such a long time) especially now Scott Hall has passed away. This story deserves the main cast and a proper follow up to part 1. The show doesn't work without Conrad. Not good.

I don't think it was ever about Russo being chosen "over" him. They worked together and then worked together again in TNA. I wouldn't debate Russo either. Russo is almost universally disliked and jim is almost universally appreciated among their peers. That tells the story for me.

Loved this episode. It’s nice when you have a co host for Eric who doesn’t act like all the bullshit Dave Meltzer printed is true. Conrad takes so many little shots and has to be a sarcastic smart ass constantly, it gets annoying to listen to. Dave printed lies, gossip, and opinions as facts for years. He constantly attacked both main companies because the people running those companies treated him like the parasite he is. Eric pointed this out perfectly…Look at all the drama in AEW now, it’s so clear that as Dave used to say “ the inmates are running the asylum.” Weirdly enough though, Dave just sweeps it aside, puts over Tony, and puts over his butt buddies Jericho and the elite. It’s so clear that Jericho, omega, and the little buckaroos just tell him what to say…and then Dave says it. He’s an AEW cheerleader because they invite him to events and treat him like he matters, so he gets down on his knees and opens wide lol. Every match is five stars, Tony is the best booker ever, cm punk is the problem in the locker room, and the elite dbags are some of the best wrestlers ever 😂. Everything Eric has said about Dave for years is true, hopefully Conrad stops quoting him like he’s a real journalist so the shows can be better.

In regards to the Jericho win over Scott Hall, I believe Scott has said that the original idea was for him to go over on Jericho but Scott decided to go into business for himself and let Jericho win in an attempt to get a better match. Therefore it wouldn't have been a concentrated attempt to have another 123 Kid moment. Maybe Scott has this in mind though 🤔

@@postreading6889 I mean it’s a podcast. Not a show. I don’t see what makes you think it’s a gimmick. The difference is that Hogan was the demonstrated biggest draw in the history of wrestling at this point. He was a key part to genuinely bringing WCW above WWF at this time. Tony on the other hand has given punk they treatment but punk hasn’t been the business changer for aew to justify the trearment.

Eric finally admits there was a "favored nations" clause
@Matt-cr4vv
Жыл бұрын
He’s acknowledged it previously. A specific instance that comes to mind is that he has said that he went to Nash and Hall prior to signing Bret Hart to get them to waive their favored nations clause. On that episode he mentions that the clause had some nuance to it to where it was only applicable to certain levels of wrestlers and not applicable to all wrestlers signed as Hall and Nash have always claimed. And I would buy that claim over what Nash and Hall have always said. An easy example of why the clause wasn’t as broad as Nash and Hall have portrayed it is just to look at the payroll data that was made public in a court case against WCW. They provided all the pay for wrestlers between 1996 - 2000 and their contracts as part of that case. When you compare their pay to the roster if their clause was what they have claimed it was they’d have made as much as Hogan, Hart and Goldberg. But they didn’t make that much. They did make more than guys like Sting and DDP though, so I think there’s credence to the claim that they did have some form of it as applied to certain people.
