We are so alike it is insane, we movie buffs, old school VHS etc, I agree the model 19 4 inch is perfection Glock has nothing on an old school smith! Keeping history alive is bluing and markings the bluing is huge never been the same. Roll marks are another huge thing there is a reason old ones cost a fortune

There’s something about a Colt. It’s a cool 1911 for a thousand bucks. Decent value.

good morning JW !! I appreciate the advice on the Colt Python barrel lengths. I have to admit, I was leaning towards the 4", primarily because of Magnum Force. Also, I own 2 S&W model 586's, one 4" and one 6". I shoot the 6" better, but the 4" gets a lot more range time.. it just seems to feel better in my hand. It doesn't hurt that Sidney Poitier carried the 4" in "Shoot to Kill", and Vasili put one in Val Kilmer's face in " The Saint" 🙂

J.W I hope your having a great weeked.Last weeked your were talking about the roll marks on the Colt 1911s. What is the reason they went to lasering, cheaper to produce ? Faster ? and I wonder if they still have the old machinery. The Colt Cassic 1911 sure has jumped up in price from $699.00 to $900 plus! Thanks for the video, Slim.

The price range is wide, from $769 no sales tax and $20 shipping, which is the one I bought to $899 right now.
