I admire Dr. DeYoung's work! Great to have another podcast with him, his theories should be more known in psychology!

Another amazing episode Ricardo. Dr. DeYoung, if you read these comments... I'm eagerly awaiting your book to come out... on cybernetics, evolution, personality and pathology! I'm sure it will be great.

It is difficult to listen to everything he says (a lot of talk and useless jargon, etc.), but it seems that he is one of the followers of the old generation working to replace the old cloak with a new one to hide under it, but they have nothing to add!

Everything he said was necessary to explain the complex topic. Not everything can be put in simple words.

He is part of a movement that's replacing diagnostic systems, they are definitely adding up new things

@@dialoguspodcastmx because of the lack of deep understanding, they invented a lot of unnecessary terms and mixed things up, human psychology is one of the most complicated topics, but what they are doing leads to nothing. I have studied both psychology and neurology (academic books), I know what they talk about very will, they made a good progress in neurology but no real progress in psychology (lack understanding and they mixed things up in addition to unnecessary terms, …etc), they insist that what they studied is correct! Psychologically will become one of the most important fields of science, at the end future generations will connect it to physics, that’s unbelievable but will happen for sure (they will have to). but it will take long time to reach that point.

You are conflating two different levels of analysis, psychology is not at the level of physics, but at the level of an individual in interaction with other people and their environment. This is well supported by psychological science. @@aminam9201

@@aminam9201Psychology is not understood by reading academic books, but actually working with patients and with the community
