@Farmmaster Flex Honestly, even a 357 seems overkill. I thought about saying 32 (probably more realistically what they might actually do someday), but figured I would go a size up,, but realistically these things are meant for driving nails, for a .50, unless you're driving a railroad spike sized nail, it's way beyond what is required, particularly if we are talking like a .50BMG blank. I would more see a .45 as a little more realistic as those rounds are a high mass, low velocity round in terms of handguns, but again like how big of a nail are we talking? If ramset were like deliberately making products with theft in mind, sure, we might see some ridiculous calibers used, but for their intended purpose, even a .32 seems unlikely
@Mr-Trox

He said .50AE, as in Action Express, like the Desert Eagle's most iconic permutation, not a BMG. That is more than a little overkill for anything, .50 BMG Ramset would be used for driving a nail through steel *plate*.

@@zrobotics There are cases where using it for the intended purpose is bad, like when the builder built the concrete wall using something that looked like concrete, but in reality it was more beach sand with ambition. When you use the lightest charges, and still have to go looking for the nail in the middle of the wall you know you have issues. Solved by using 2 thicknesses of steel to grab most of the power, and a long nail to get some grip, and using a lot more than intended. Seen some though where no matter the charge, and how sturdy the nail, they just left a skid mark on the surface and a flat nail. Concrete made to nuclear blast proof strength, 1:1:1 mix, plus plasticiser, plus high strength additives, and fully cured as well.

That was quiet! I can tell you that the original caused quite a commotion in the Johnson County Kansas District Court one Friday afternoon about fifteen years ago. The tradesman was using one to anchor a new security fence in the marble floor at the front of the courthouse. Nobody was warned and that tradesman didn’t give much thought to the commotion that a gunshot might cause. Four anchors set caused an impromptu race of bailiffs & Sheriff’s Deputies with weapons drawn ready to repel the invaders to assemble at the (disused) entryway. They were confused until the tradesman put another anchor in without mentioning what he was doing there on the floor, funniest thing to see on closed circuit TV! This new one has made a remarkable advancement in noise suppression!

Yooo that ramset is awesome! I frame houses for a living and we still use the old school slide mechanism ramsets and those things will tear chunks out of your hand if you're not careful.

Silenced version. You will be surprised at how quiet it is. (Gunshot like sound)

A crowd-pleaser! The fact the lock was braced so firmly in the angle iron seems just a little too ideal though. I'd be interested to see how it works with the lock free-hanging, as it might be on a fence gate.

Hahaha brilliant I love how calm u are just blowing shit away love ur videos in UK. u and Bill are two of the most amazing people on earth thanks for great stuff to watch funny
So I watched your ramset demo on Modern Rogue first, and I was very pleased to see that you didn't have any faulty "ammo" this time. That was truly a stoke of Brushwood luck that happened on that episode. Of COURSE something would go wrong on Modern Rogue!

I’ve watched a few of these LPL videos that feature delicate picking. So much so that I was actually taken aback by the sheer aggression of this thing.

This reminds me of what happens in the movies when a lock gets shot. Fantastic!

Rather than firing the Ramset empty and damaging the piston you can cut off concrete nails about half an inch below the head and load them in there with the head resting on the lock. Gives the piston something besides itself to deform.

Ramset is making this personal. Next version won't leave anything to doubt. It will have new "latches designed to grab the locks for more accurate firing"

Great fun but I prefer to watch you picking! I have ordered the pick set you reviewed and am going to try to teach myself, after all I taught my self watch repairing from You Tube. Thanks for great Videos.
