Its clearly not made in Venezuela, it is made by CISA for some company from Venezuela. So it is from Italy or some factory in China(or some other country with super cheap labor) and then some company in Venezuela is selling it under different name... Plenty of stuff today all over the world have only sticker or name of the company and are made by completely different manufacturer. Sometimes thx to that you can buy something with good quality but much lower price.

I watch your videos thinking "gees that lock is a POS" and need to constantly remind myself that the average bicycle /motorcycle thief does not have your lockpicking skills. As far as I'm concerned, if a lock can withstand a brute force attack, can't be hacked or sufficiently secures my bike to a fixed object then it should be ok in most cases. The amount of times i've seen lads remove the seat post from a bicycle and use it to twist a Kmart style chain/cable lock to the point of snapping in 10 seconds is crazy. Plus, unless you ride a HD Road King, your bike can probably be lifted into the back of a transit van by a couple of blokes...just use your common sense I guess - Great videos LPL!

The problem with motorcycle theft is any organized thieves will just pick up the cycle and put it in a van and drive away. Only bid 1000 pound touring machines are "safe" from this attack. You only need 5 people for ordinary motorcycle theft, 1 driver and 4 lifters. Maybe a couple baseball bats, gloves and balls to give the reason to carry the bats. Talked about a lot on motorcycle forums.

Which is the best type of bike lock my 11 year old son would like to know please?
@veraxis9961
5 жыл бұрын
In practical terms, it depends how much the bike is worth, and how much weight your son is okay with carrying around. A super-secure, heavy-duty overkill lock is all well and good, but it doesn't make sense to spend a ton of money on a bike lock if the bike itself isn't super expensive to begin with or if the lock is so heavy to carry around that he won't want to use it. If his goal is just to prevent theft by his peers/schoolmates, a chain with a rubber or fabric covering around it to avoid scratching the bike and paired with a decent quality padlock (preferably something with a ball-bearing locking mechanism to resist prying or trying to bash the lock open, like an American lock) would probably be more than adequate. If there is a real risk of serious theft and/or physical attack with tools like bolt cutters, a hardened chain, chain lock, or U-lock that goes around the frame and wheel made by a reputable company such as Kyptonite or ABUS are also a good option, albeit more pricey. Avoid cable locks at all costs because they can easily be cut with cable cutters.
