@@karl3168 Because the playstation controllers (Dualshock and Dualsense) aren't natively supported in Windows ? Since they're not X-input controllers, most games will not work with them out of the box. You're going to have to configure the PS controllers manually through 3rd party apps like Steam or DS4Windows. Which works pretty well once it's all set and done but it is a pain in the ass to set up at first. The 8bitdo on the other hand supports X-input out of the box, which means any PC game with controller support will recognize it as an "Xbox" controller and will work straight away. I hope that helps.

Honestly, for nintendo consoles or PC gaming, I would only recommend 8BitDo controllers. Not only does every controller I purchase from them work perfectly and hold a charge for a super long time, but the overall quality of all their products are great. Intuitive design as well and almost all of them have USB-Type C connections. Even their packaging is great, minimal and not wasteful. I just pre-ordered this controller so I have a backup for the Pro+ I already own. Really awesome company and I'm glad they keep making these awesome controller that I think are priced really affordably. As a side note, I'd love a Pro+ that was wired and they could make them cheaper to sell, bet those would be really popular.

Just got the Pro 2 the other week and I game on my pad, Switch and PC. This controller can not be beat, especially for this price. My one concern is that the little switch on the back will break soon because I use it so much switching between platforms. Might have to get another one just to reduce the wear and tear.

Is there lag while on PC via Bluetooth?
@jakesmith5278

@@gregthesplintercell I'm not very sensitive to lags like some people, so if it does lag, I can't tell. But I can say that it is the same as an Xbox One controller, the other controller that I use on my PC.

Hey man, i'm looking to buy one of these Pro 2 controllers for wireless PC gaming. I just wanted to ask about the durability of these controllers. My previous controller (Logitech F710) fell apart after only 1 year of use. Stick drift, L3 and R3 buttons stuck etc.. Do you think the 8bitdo Pro 2 is durable enough or should i just pay the difference and get a 9th gen Xbox controller ?

How would rate this against a Sony Dual Sense PS5 controller? That’s been my goto for my PC and Steamdeck thus far.

It looks like the Pro2 buttons are all convex, while the pro+ are convex(A&B) and concave(X&Y). Is that the case?
@JoMamma42

On the Pro+ that varies by color, on the Pro 2 they’re all convex on all controller colors. Also, Pro+ has the wide SNES diamond for the face buttons and the Pro 2 is closer to the modern Xbox or PlayStation diamond.

Idk I'd still rather use the Switch Pro controller. Gyro and offset sticks are worth it alone for me, but the 40-hour battery, HD rumble, and nfc clinch it. It's just so good to have 1 controller for everything. Works on Steam too

Does it work with Steam and Elden Ring/Souls games? Also, Nintendo? Looks just like a PS controller...

If it's anything like the first pro+ I own, yeah to all those. It will also start sticking and become unusable within a year if it's made like mine. Otherwise it was great bar the stick layout.

You can even swap the Dpad and sticks! So you can play Links Awakening with the dPad since Nintendo was stupid and didn't make that an option. However, you cannot change the trigger sensitivity.

Love the Pro + G Edition. The D-Pad is a little loose, so you can literally slide it around in the housing without pressing it in, but I'm not sure if it's age or if it always did that. However, the D-Pad on the G Edition won't hurt your thumb, and has amazing grip. That's the only difference, and it makes it better than the other two editions. I imagine the Pro 2 G-Edition will be the same way.

"Love the Pro + G Edition. The D-Pad is a little loose, so you can literally slide it around in the housing without pressing it in, but I'm not sure if it's age or if it always did that" That's by design, that controller is trying to imitate the original Snes controller as much as it can and the snes controller's d pad is also like that.

Looks great. I wish 8bitdo would move away from the retro look and go for a more minimal classy look for their new iteration. I bet it would be the nicest looking controller ever. It's a great controller already for $50. From a design perspective I love the shape but I wish the button interface was a little cleaner. I'm not sure but something is missing. I'm thinking it's that d-pad is a bit outdated but it's one of the best d-pads. It's great but not everything is very nice to look at. The ABXY on that black looks really good in my opinion. Analog sticks are great. Shoulder buttons are great. Start/Pause is finally centered but I'm not a huge fan of that rubber button. Seems cheap. I'm digging the 2-tone color. I think it needs a touchpad in the middle. I don't know. It just feels naked and seem like 8bitdo could had done more. It's great but something is missing. Headphone jack be nice. Probably too big a fan of DualSense but this controller would be my 2nd pick for any other platform. Everything would have to be on par with a DualSense. It needs a more minimal retro-design. Great video.
