Whoever regulated the barrels on that rifle is to be applauded. That is a good bear round, about .39 caliber. 9.3x74 has a great cross section to bullet weight, a killer round.

I have one round marked 9.3x74R DWM with 2 K's. Unfortunately it has a hairline crack, long ways, down the neck of the brass, about 3/8" long..

Very impressive, double rifle registered so well that two shots touching at 50 M!

Not sure how big the aiming dot measures. At 50 meters I would move about 2 - 4 centimeters to the right and leave the elevation as is. With those loads, that rifle would be effectively 'on' at any range one felt adequate to connect with game. Very impressive for two barrels on a double rifle. By the way, the shooter did his job correctly as well. I could see his finger tighten on the triggers, but he didn't move until the recoil moved him. Very proper!

Lovely rifle but the group is not good. At 50 m, everything will fall to the gun, however the bullets are crossing and they are too close together. The front trigger is the right barrel, the rear is the left. The second shot should be to the left of the first. Also, the barrels measure a specific distance apart. The bullets should be approximately the same distance apart at the target otherwise the bullets will move apart the further away from point of aim. Read Graeme Wright’s book, “shooting the double rifle”. He does a really great job of explaining regulation. I would hate to see what these bullets are doing at anything past 50 m.

@@polunekable you have a beautiful rifle and you are almost spot on with your load. A little tweaking and you have the perfect shot. I have a merkel 141 ae and i know how daunting the perfect load can be. Keep up the good work and yes, imam envious. Kind regards, Max

Justowanie luf w ekspresach to bardzo szerokie zagadnienie. Reguluje się je do danej amunicji. To co w jednym rodzaju amunicji daje dane efekty, w drugim rodzaju może dać diametralnie inne.

With a Double Rifle one should always pull the back trigger first. So that one doesn't set both chambers off due to recoil. Heavy recoil can cause one's finger to hit the back trigger, but if one starts with the back trigger it's not a problem. Of course with a little 9.3mm recoil is not a problem.

Oh when you have a time to think then sure. But with double rifile many situations are fast. You dont have time for thinking about trigger order. you pull a front one first then.
