This is the cleverest integration of ad content I‘ve ever seen! Why is it so good? - Because the ad content is truly RELEVANT to the actual content of the video. Bravo! Unlike all those forced intros leading over to an ad for fast food or a shaving kit on a photography channel …

Hey Dunna! In Monitor+ I also discovered on newer Sony camera’s you can use USB-C directly into the camera and it’s a huge step over the wireless! I just posted a video on how to do this as I was amazed when I was just curious what would happen if I plugged my iPhone 15 Pro with the USB-C into the camera. Glad you’re sharing the info!

I love DR buuuut...I don't use it enough to keep abreast of the endless changes and updates. It seems every time I logged in I would have to update the software and then find where the moved things. I've recently changed to another free software that is muuuuuch simpler but still powerful enough to do what I need. If I ever get to the point where I do YT full time I'd likely go back to DR. Great ideas on the other tools. Oh, and I LOVE crunch but as I've gotten older I find smooth easier on my dental work ;-)

My experience is that helping just doesn’t better. The “remove silence” function in DVR needs some work and the transcript editing is a bit sketchy as well. So yes, DVR does some of the same stuff, but not as well in my experience. 🤷🏻♂️

Doesn't Davinci Resolve studio have a transcript feature in it to remove pauses to cut your footage for you to edit faster?

It does! But it’s a little bit glitchy. Gling has been a lot more accurate for me and a lot more easy to use. But the DVR feature is helpful if you don’t want to go all the way to gling levels.

@dunnadidit

Hey! Thanks so much! Well it kind of depends, lots of them have free versions, but if you were to go with the paid versions of all of them, it can definitely add up. My situation is a bit tricky because brands often reach out and offer me access in hopes that they will make it on a list like this at some point or that I will share with my audience. So I’m not so much keeping track clearly. I also often pay annually if I can when I sign up for subscription stuff. I’m probably paying around $100-$200 a month for all my work/photo/video subscriptions (including plenty of stuff not on this list). But a lot of it could (and probably should) be trimmed down if I was being a bit more conscious of it.

I find it way more accurate than the silence cut in DVR. And then the clincher is how it cuts out the bad takes or repeated takes like it does. That’s the real difference.

I prefer crunchy peanut butter but smooth is just as good in a pinch. Here's a sandwich idea you probably have never tried, but should as it works surprisingly well: Spread some peanut butter on a thick slice of brown or wheaten bread. Place a couple of tomato slices on top. Season with freshly ground black pepper. Enjoy! I know this combination should not work, but these flavours and textures go really well together, especially if you use crunchy peanut butter! :-P
