1. Hot tea as in, warm tea... Lol it's just normal for us to say it this way because 热茶(Basically)= Hot tea to us 2. We use hot steaming tea to clean off the bacteria on all dishes and cups before eating, we think it's dirty and people don't wash it correctly. Tea is also known to kill bacteria 3. Not all Chinese love spicy(Minority), but all Chinese have at least tried spicy stuff. Grown up in this environment, we get used to it 4. It's just... Our way of showing affection to others? 5. "What did you eat to become so charming and hot? Well, Rice, rice, and rice." (Well, now you know what to eat to become hot😘) -Jackson Wang(On ASC) 6. We just eat, eat, and eat. THEN SPIT IT... Talent... We are Luhan's manliness 7. Slurping noodles is a tradition for us. Similar to Japan, slurping it means 'giving respect' to the chef. Means if tastes good.🍜拉面好吃👌 8. We like it, probably we use traditional recipes to make it taste absolutely wonderful 9. We love to use left overs to mix into soups and noodles;tastes wonderful I'm sorry if I offended you, I'm Chinese/Korean and I really like to relate. Not all Chinese think the same way as I do and this doesn't relate to all Chinese. Just some, please don't be offended. I just feel proud of our.... Way of eating at restaurants?

+Double Chen I like extra hot food, I like intestines and other delicious stuff, and spitting fish bones is, well, a must do if you eat fish, you don't want to choke on it. As for tea with hot stuff, nope, I drink beer with hot stuff, and I don't wash plates in hot water either, but I do get the idea. Points 4 and 5, though... I am not a fan of sharing mouth fluids with not-my-girlfriends, and I'm not too much of a rice fan. I always choose noodle variants of Chinese dishes where there's a choice.

Chinese people eating with their mouth open is the real reason World War III starts in the year 2052 when Xi Jinping, still in power, is eating with his mouth open in front of future President DJ Pauly D (who won with 97% of the vote). Xi Jinping had raw live baby birds, fish that is tortured to death with needles over the course of an hour before being put in a blender with the scales and spread onto bread made from cricket flour, and raw tortoise penis served in a bowl that is to be eaten while the tortoise watches was ordered EXTRA squishy and he was chewing RIGHT INTO PRESIDENT DJ PAULY D'S EAR EVERY TIME HE LEANED IN TO TELL HIM A SECRET! Not all Chinese food is spicy for example Cantonese food isn't that spicy. Also our family always asks for serving spoons for the dishes in restaurants. Also I tend to eat more of the dishes and less rice in restaurants as the rice is the cheap stuff that fills you up. And we always da-bao left over dishes. As for washing dishes in tea it depends on how clean the restaurant looks.

Many "Asians" would "never understand" some of the habits here, either. For instance, for many it would be very poor form to use your chopsticks to serve someone else food. You would either have a separate set just for serving, have the other person serve himself/herself, or in a worst-case scenario use the opposite ends of yours from the ends you put in your mouth.

In most Asian countries, if you slurp your noodles, it’s a compliment to the chef because you’re showing that you enjoy the meal
@HopoUK
3 жыл бұрын
But in the west, it is considered to be rude, and to some, even disgusting behaviour. People should respect the traditions of the country they are in. A westerner in Asia should expect slurping, and Asians in the west should know that it is better not to slurp to avoid confrontation.
@petercdowney

Plus having grown up outside Dallas, Texas and now Springfield, Missouri where everyone except us was and often still is from India and Pakistan, it was actually hard to start using silverware. :)
