Been wearing the Bare XF for a month now and they rock! Perfect transitional shoe for those looking to get into minimalist/barefoot. Loving the boomerang footbed - added cushion and comfort for box jumps and plyo. My foot type is flat, narrower heel, and wider toe box which = Bare XF. My workouts consist of WODs, CrossFit, Lifting, and overall functional fitness and they work for all. I do not recommend putting a lot of running miles on them but for sprints and short distances, they do the job. Hope you enjoy them as much as I have.

Super informative and thorough, subscribed! One thing reviewers never say is how the outsole performs in wet weather and slippery surfaces. I know some shoes if im walking over a metal portion of ground it will slip when wet and could cause injury. Whereas other shoes perform much better on slicker surfaces.

I have the Tolos and Icarus. Both are fantastic. On your point about the Tolos not being the best for high instep people I would mostly agree but compared to the 1.0s they are worlds better. I basically could never do legs in the 1.0 because the upper was too tight and caused cramping. I have yet to cramp up in the 2.0s but I haven't really pushed those on a leg day.

The Xero Dillon in white was my first barefoot shoe. I got them last summer, put them away for the fall and winter, and just got them back out again in the past month or two. I barely wear them and they're just yellow and dirty and not so nice looking. The laces are also way too long for them, I really should swap them out for shorter ones. Nice shoe, just a bit of a bummer. I like the Splay Freestyle shoes that I got later on, so perhaps next time I buy a white shoe, I might go with white Freestyles in canvas or leather, or maybe check out some other options. Be Lenka's got a few like the Prime or the new Rebound. But since the Xeros should last quite a long time, it might be a while before I'm back in the market. :P

I appreciate you catering to us wide foot folks. I have to ask since I have an insanely wide and flat foot (seriously it's shaped like brick,) what is the widest shoe with a wide toe box? I've tried on the Xero Prio Neo and I feel like if they had a "wide" model it would have been perfect, but so far, everything I've tried has my pinky toe or foot hanging off the insole. I tried a random new balance in 4E, but then the toe box wasn't wide enough. It's really frustrating!

Hi Jake! I love your videos. They are very detailed and you talk fast. I'm new to barefoot shoes and forming an addiction. I have 2 pairs of Whittin's, one for gym and one for casual. I have a pair of the Vivo Asani's for work but I won't be able to wear for 12 hours at a time yet. I recently ordered a pair of Flux adapt running shoes. I have a 25.3 centimer long feet. Do you think they run true to size? I have feet that are almost wide according to hoka style etc. I ordered a 10 but may need a 9 or 9.5. I wanted another pair of intermediate barefoot shoes. I'm leaning to the Lems Primal 3. I need a shoe that has decent traction to prevent sliding on concrete or laminate flooring and a little cushion. Do you have several brands that you could reccomend? Ty Also, I think that Mr. Beast resembles you!!
@thatfitfriend

Haha, I do talk a bit too fast at times. So much info to get through. Flux runners run a smidge long, imo. 9.5 would probably be the safer bet. I'd also look into the Lems Primal Zen for that ask! I am so excited that you replied. Just so you know I was not trying to be negative about your talking fast I think it's great. I also talk very fast. I will have the Flux adapt trainer, Lems Primal2, and Asani's that I can trade back and forth with. ( I am an Rn an work 12 hour shifts) I really want to get a pair of Dillon's down the road. The Feel Grounds move style look nice also. Will you have any new Barefoot videos coming out soon? Thanks!!!

I need some advice: I'm looking for a waterproof barefoot trail shoe to use for golf. The vivo all weathers are only water resistant at best. The only other one that exists that I know of is the xero mesa trail WP. Am I missing something or is there a HUGE gap in the market here? Currently golfing in the true 1.2's, but the stack height is a little more than I'd like and the upper is super rigid.
@thatfitfriend
17 күн бұрын
Not a lot of waterproof options out there - you're def not missing anything. Question, have you thought about waterproofing them yourself? Could try applying something on the Vivos to see if that helps a bit? Could also try a Trail Knit FG then waterproof em yourself. Will get more aggressive slugs then to prevent slip!
@aarondrossart6026
16 күн бұрын
@@thatfitfriend I've thought about waterproofing them myself (or applying extra waterproofing to the vivo all weathers). A lot of the diy methods are either filled with PFAS, or don't really work that well. Maybe I could just get over it and wear my existing golf shoes that do a pretty decent job, I would just really love to wear a pair of ACTUALLY waterproof vivo's on the course.
