@@CurlyChemistry I am a new subscriber. I love your videos ❤️ because you have the education and knowledge to talk about the ingredients in each product and why it will work. Thank you for the recommendations. Your channel is the best. I’m going to scream If I see another natural hair KZitemr that does a video on their holy grail favorite products when in reality they are just buying up and being sponsored by EVERY hair care product line from A to Z and they have 600 videos of their holy grail favorites. I just want real recommendations on what will work. Thank you for being honest and talking about products that work instead of literally just trying to review every hair care line on the earth!!! 😂. One request when you are showing the product bottles can you please do a full still image shot and freeze it on the video for a few seconds instead of quickly panning down the product bottle. I take screenshots of the products I want to buy so if I can get a picture of the whole bottle it makes it easier to quickly get it and buy it when I’m in the store. ❤️. Can you do a video on the tightly curly method and the new conditioner that Terri LaFlesh (the creator of the Tightly Curly method) recommended as a leave in combing conditioner: Pantene 3 minute miracle Smooth and Sleek Conditioner.

@@latonyatorrence2394 Clay washes are good to cleanse the hair without stripping, and the recipe whipped up by SheRea del Sol, which introduced me to coconut vinegar as an alternative to ACV in DIY recipes, was a winner. It combines rhassoul, calcium bentonite, and kaolin clays and dissolves them in a liquid (distilled water and or aloe vera juice) with a little coconut vinegar and possibly some oil. I modified it slightly and added powdered aritha, or soap nut, which is a natural cleanser, so it worked with the rest of the recipe. Hope that helps!

Ooh yes, great one! Some bloggers posit that products can be used more than one way, but there may well be chemistry-related reasons to avoid leaving in a rinse out, for instance.
@kendallwilliams8616
3 жыл бұрын
@@ileanasantamaria2364 The biggest reason to not leave in a rinse out is that the preservative profile is intended for a limited use time. The preservatives chosen may be more irritating to skin because it was formulated to only contact skin for the time stated on the product. Also, even if you do not experience irritation upon your first use, some preservatives in larger doses may be sensitizers meaning they can cause sensitive skin with prolonged exposure. However, if these things do not necessarily bother you then it should be fine to use a deep conditioner as a leave in. The effects of a deep conditioner are not enhanced any more when you leave it on for more than maybe 30 minutes, and it ceases to condition when it dries so at that point what you see is what you get.

The idea is that it deep cleanses the locs and helps remove buildup. My question is: Don’t these two just cancel each other out? Your expertise would be greatly appreciated!!

You mentioned a few times that an ingredient, such as Stearamidopropyl Dimethylamine and Behentrimonium Methosulfate and Centrimonium Bromide are "cationic conditioning surfactants" in these conditioners. I guess I'm a little thrown off by them being in conditioners, yet are considered surfactants. Isn't a surfactant a cleanser/detergent? Or does it have multi purpose functions, where it is in a shampoo and in conditioners? As for my go-to favorite product, it's the Shea Moisture Loc & Braid Butter. Love your channel!

Hello Curly Chemistry, great video!. I have fine 4c hair and want to grow and thicken my hair. What products will you recommend, please?

Thank you, for sharing your knowledge, its seems hard to try and sort through all the nonsense of the hair care industry, and find truth about what's good or rubbish. Thank you.

@curly chemistry. I am a new subscriber. I love ❤️ your videos because you have the education and knowledge to talk about the ingredients in each product and why it will work. ❤️. Can you please do a video on the tightly curly method and the new conditioner that Terri LaFlesh (the creator of the Tightly Curly method) recommended as a leave in combing conditioner: Pantene 3 minute miracle Smooth and Sleek Conditioner?

So far mane choice 3 in one detangler has been my favorite because of the slip. I always shied away from the ones with silicone because I heard they were bad for you but since like you I wash my hair often I think I’ll try it and not worry about silicones so much.
