@@kaylacosby5969 If you are talking before a loss, take video. Take several, lay everything out and make sure everything is pictured. Get as much detail as you want. If it's after a loss and you don't have the clothing, you'll have to estimate. The more reasonable you are, the less it'll be questioned. If you have 25 pairs of designer jeans that cost $2,000 each, you better have some pictures on social media to prove it along with bank/credit card statements showing a few high dollar purchases at high end boutiques. If you have 5 pairs of decent jeans, another 5 pairs of dressy pants and a couple high end suits, etc... that's reasonable If you still have everything and it's wet, spread it out somewhere and take pictures. Ask your adjuster how much detail they want.

These tips are great for helping you understand that the insurance company wants to settle your claim as quickly and as cheaply as possible. They'll even go so far as to send you a check for a few hundred dollars and a waiver to sign that releases them from all claims you have! If you get something like that from an insurance company after you have been injured, contact a lawyer ASAP. If you are in Florida, give Justin a call!

@MrDavestro

A lot of useless information. "0:13" -- "What is your average claim payout?" Tells you nothing. Payouts are based on costs so unless you have exactly the same injuries, damages in the same demographic this is useless. "1:21" -- "Can you pay me 2X your first offer?" (a.k.a. "What degree of settlement authority do you have?") You could ask that, but most likely they will ask if you can produce two times the receipts to prove those costs. Each adjuster has different levels of authority. If it is higher than your adjuster's authority it gets revied by management. Their settlement authority wont impact you at all. no such things as 2x "1:51" -- "Whe[re] can I see your past settlement offers?" You cant, that is illegal and would get the adjuster fired. Besides that previous settlement offers have nothing to with you unless you were involved in the exact same type of accident, same vehicles (Year, make, model), in exactly the same condition and milage, Your injuries were exactly the same, you went to the the same medical facility, and this all happened in the same demographic market. "3:29" -- "How much payout authority did you request?" The request will be exactly what bills you provided to the adjuster. You should know what the payout authority they requested, because you give them that information. "5:02" -- "What can I do for you to pay more?" Provide more receipts showing the increase cost. "6:25" -- "How much money can you offer me?" It will be equal to the damages collected from you, the body shop, and medical facilities. Along with other receipts you provide showing loss due to the accident. "7:00" -- "How often do you settle in less than 3 offers?" My first and 3rd offer are always the same unless you can show me receipts proving additional loss "8:15" -- "Do you like paying out less?" Doesnt everyone. Its not about paying out less or more. Its about making you whole again and paying whats owed, nothing more. "9:08" -- "Are you going to fight my case?" Adjuster dont fight cases. They look for ways to provide coverage and pay exactly what is owed. If you try to scam the insurance company for gain, the adjuster will reject that and settle losses you can prove that match the facts of loss. Insurance is not for you to gain, but to cover actual damages.

On my side of the road there was traffic on my left two lane and my lane was clear to the light. I was drive about 30 in a 40. It seem like the jeep just went threw the cars on lane left of me. I would need more details if the claim. Could give them a number of what you need and see what they offer then. They might settle for 5k with out fighting and the amount offered could be the adjuster is new and gave an offer higher closer to his authority with our supervisor approval

Asking for a quick payout or how to get more can also lead to SIU investigation in the claim. I like an active policy holder when I work claims. Just keep in mind most of us will pay what is due per claim. I don’t use what I payed out from yesterday’s claim to figure out today’s claim. Most adjusters want a claim to run its course and everyone is happy. Going to court or arguing over what should be paid is not what we wake up and want to do on a daily basis

Because a policy reaches its limits then you need to know where the other funds are going to come from. Other states require you to rule out injury like California prop 213. They need to rule out if you have coverage which also helps with settlement offers

We had a drunk driver hit a fire hydrant up above our house, and it only flooded under and around our house. The policeman didn't put it in the report even though some of them had come to our house. The adjuster says I need proof even though I have sent video and we all know the date of service never changes, and you know they paid out on 5 hours of water to the water company! Not to mention, the girl left the scene and went to her house and mile down the road. She is making me provide receipts for things I haven't purchased yet to replace items. Like rugs that were on my screened in porch covered in debris.
@MrDavestro
Ай бұрын
This sounds logical. How can they provide a settlement for something without knowing the cost? You can always call the police and have them amend the report. If they leave something out, they don't have trouble adding it in. There are so many people who try to scam insurance companies and this is why they require proof prior to paying out a claim. Somethings may seem obvious to you, but they have to have record for everything they pay out and why they paid it out.

I have pain in the soles of my feet, behind my legs in the knew area,my lower back,my legs are shaky at times. I had ptsd as I would cry and freeze before crossing , the street, I avoided the scene of the accident & leaving the house for 3 months. I feelt & useless & helpless. The insurance Co should factor all that in the their settlement & offer no less than 30k for cases where someone was hit by a car. I'm grateful for the work put in by my attorney nonetheless, Arash Law Thanks to those honest, compassiomate attorneys

People dont realize what insurance really is, Tom Hanks actually said it best in a movie. Insurance is not to replace or BETTER your position, home, car, or whatever the item is. Its too help get you back where you were. If insurance is expected to fully restore your insured item there would be no insurance anymore. People not often but enough to be noticed, lie, cheat, expect to not only be made whole but be in a better position than before. When you insure depreciating things like autos, its impossible.

Yes, hiring a lawyer is a good idea. And I agree that you shouldn’t trust insurance companies.

Adjuster here, I want to help you as fast as I can. A lawyer, on the other hand, only wants to help themselves. Only get a lawyer for a very serious claim. If you rear-ended a Honda, just go through your insurance. We don't care if you ask any of these questions.

@@ynkybomberhow about, you lose your home to tornado. Total loss. It's been 30 days and insurance keep giving the run around. It's been they cant get ahold of the other adjuster that took pics. He didnt take good pics. They are working on a skeleton crew because they are going to stop handling home owners insurance. Also, really trying to mess with us because it was a double wide but the whole reason they agreed to cover it, years ago is because when they came to inspect, it was more solid than most houses. The couple we bought it from had built it up on blocks. They even did more than that to stabilize. Replaced floors with wood floors. Replaced roof with metal roof. The insurance company was happy to cover because of all these things but now are just trying to act like it's some old double wide. My husband is so stressed they have had to add another blood pressure med. The bank is calling because we still owe on it and telling us our insurance on property is going to lapse next month. We def are NOT the type that want to get lawyer involved but at 50 we are too old to get a run around on this! My husband was hurt in the storm and still had to go back to work the next week because we need the money! Any suggestions anyone?? Any other way to go about this than lawyers and court???

Why have you added unnecessary and distracting music over voice? Your other videos are watchable, this isn't. Whoever told you that it is needed is wrong, they haven't a clue. It's a fashion and such videos will not age well. I can't watch this. I'm off.

@@RealJustinZiegler I'm grateful for your interest in my comment. The problem is that the whole of the video has music over voice, unlike your other, earlier videos that I have been watching with great interest. When you watch a movie, the music isn't over a voiced part of the story, it fills in the gaps. If you watch a news story or an interview, you don't generally have an music. It's seems to be only on KZitem videos that a fashion started to have video over voice on an increasing number of videos and all it serves to do is to distract, to take the focus away from the speaker. Your content is good, your voice is pleasant and your delivery is first class, so why have music over voice that serves no purpose except to detract from you message? There must be many other people like me who are distracted by music over voice interfering with the message and for anyone else, well, what's the purpose? Have you been advised that you should have it because 'everyone else has it'? Is there absolute proof that it improves engagement over a longer period of time if you have music over voice? If not, leave it out. You are over-egging the pudding. People watch your video for facts, not entertainment - but what entertainment is there when it sounds like the next door neighbour has their TV on too loud and it prevents you from your quiet enjoyment of listening to something that you have chosen to listen to, in the full expectation that you would hear a professional person speaking to them. I'm sure that you don't have background music during your consultations so why do you have it on your professional videos. I write only to give what I believe is useful feedback. I really do no understand why there is this awful fashion for music over voice for many videos now. For me it's distracting and even if the content is good, I move on. In your case I chose to read the script because your earlier videos gave me useful information, but I would rather have heard your oral presentation. Despite the above, thanks for your non-music over voice good work. Thank you again for wanting to hear my comments.

@@RealJustinZiegler if your a normal person asking the questions you Will place the adjuster on high alert and depending on State he doesn't have to answer these questions. Adjusters of other companies talk to each when it comes to bi and investing questionable people or circumstances. If a third party clmt starts asking these questions your claim will be flagged for possible insurance fraud and investigated by siu or an ia. They will check your history in iso, your knowledge of things could backfire. Some of these tactics only work for some claims that are moderate losses like 35k or less. If you want to make more money juet be annoying. Sometimes the adjuster might give you more money just to make you go away if you become annoying during a bi settlement. If you push harder then be prepared to face opposing counsel. You wanna tip find out the adjusters work load and tell him you wanna settle so that's one less claim for them. Good bait for back Pocket

thats the way it usually works. The client rarely benefits from the law suits. Attorney will usually get a higher settlement, but they will take a chunk and you will end up with less and pay a higher premium on your insurance

Thank you for sharing your perspective! You bring up an interesting point about the focus of these questions. It's true that they revolve around the central issue of compensation, which is often a primary concern in these situations. However, the intention behind asking varied questions is to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the adjuster’s position and the scope of their authority. It’s not just about the amount offered, but also about understanding the process, limitations, and how they evaluate the claim. This can be crucial for negotiating effectively. I appreciate your viewpoint and understand that these conversations can be complex. If you have any alternative strategies or insights, I’d love to hear them! This is extremely misleading. The average payout has no thing to do with any claim. Likes like asking a car dealership what is the average selling price of your cars. Price range maybe $15k to $120K. The average price has no benefit to the customer and is meaningless in determining settlement. Adjusters are not ranked on average payout at all, it is a useless number. . There is no such thing as double authority for settlement. Each adjuster has a total amount they can approve based on experience. If the settlement is above that, then it must be approved by a manager. Depending on the settlement amount, depends on the level it must go to get approved. There is no such thing as double approval. Watching this video lets me know this guy has no clue on how the insurance adjuster are ranked or how they complete settlements. If you have a receipt and it matches the facts of loss and the amount is in line with normal costs, then insurance will pay it. Insurance is looking to cover your expenses, they are not there for you to profit. Speak with someone who actually works in the industry and knows facts. This guy does not

Thank you for your comment! I appreciate the feedback and would like to clarify a few points: 1. Average Payouts: At 0:33 in the video, I included a judge's opinion that discussed average payouts and their impact on adjusters' settlement authority. And at 8:34 in the vid, I showed how a regional claims manager was happy that average loss/claim payouts went down. The mention of average payouts (early in the vid) was, in part, to highlight that most claims are often smaller than people expect. This information helps set realistic expectations for claimants, showing that high settlements are not as common as perceived. 2. Adjuster Authority: An adjuster who worked at a large, national carrier once told me that his total settlement authority was twice his first offer. This doesn't imply a formal "double authority" system, but it does give an idea of how initial offers can relate to the final settlement authority. 3. Settlement Process: It's true that insurance aims to cover expenses, not provide a profit. However, accident victims without a lawyer are at a big disadvantage as they're going up against experienced claims professionals who are skilled and can be very persuasive. Navigating the process can be complex, and having accurate documentation is crucial. Most people are clueless as to how much pain and suffering is worth, and how to prove future damages, and often times even past damages. 4. Also, I used to defend insurance companies and got a behind the scenes look at how insurance companies handle claims, negotiation and strategy. I strive to provide useful information and insights based on my experience. If you have any further comments, feel free to share. Have a great day. Sincerely, Justin Ziegler Florida injury lawyer
