Not gonna lie, this first story made me cry pretty hard. At first I thought it was kind of gross, being that she was technically a zombie, just sitting there rotting. But then, I listened to the story the kids mom told him about what happened to grandma & her brother, & got it right away. It was so sweet, & strong of the little boy to do what he did so his grandma could finally rest.

The first story always makes me cry. And I've heard it 5 times or so now. At first it's creepy, but it's also so heartfelt & sad. The ending description of how she rotted is gross, but her relief gives me a warmth in my heart.❤️ Maybe it's because my Nana has dementia, but I hope she passed in peace when she goes. Apparently she asked about me the other day, so I feel I really should go see her. Even if she doesn't remember me when I do go see her, I should still go. Just incase she passes sooner rather than later. Last thing I want is to regret not seeing her, & have her asking after me if she passes soon, & I didn't at least see her one last time.

@@chrisstopher2277 I did go visit her. And I was there before she passed too. She passed the day after fathers day, 2022. I'm glad I got to be there with her. Despite how hard it was to see her like that. She couldn't talk anymore, & was suddenly skin & bone. Plus very frustrated that she couldn't speak. Myself, my dad & auntie/ her kids, & my mom were there with her. It actually brought me a sense of peace having been there with her/ for her. We listened to her favourite music, sang, & made jokes. She laughed a good amount, & clapped along with the music a lot. Even managed to kick her feet. I was there for almost an entire day, & I'd gladly do it again if I could, the next time a family member is passing. If you can ever be with someone as they are about to pass, Do It!! Even if your questioning it a bit, if you feel, even a little bit, like you might regret not going go. It may be hard, but to me it was well worth that one last day.

My main qualm with the series is that it starts to read like a comedy rather than a scary story. I'll always appreciate the minds of authors who write like they're from "Tales at the gas station," but I'll never find any of them scary, which is why I don't think the series would be likely to get featured here. That said it's a fun series, I didn't know the last part was out so I'm gonna go give that one a listen right now.

I feel so sorry for Regie in the last one. This Christmas when my family got together for Christmas my aunt told me stories about how I used to see ghosts in our old house. There was a dude under the tv that bit at people’s ankles and a lady that scolded him and kept us safe, and a lot of other ghosts as well. They thought it was creepy but just me being a weird kid. Turns out a chaman once came to our house and immediately pointed out the areas I was scared of as having spirits...
