Standar size ball/mason canning jars fit on most blenders, so maybe that’s where it came from. So you can make a bunch of smoothie jars ahead of time and blend right in the jar, put the lid back on and take it with you.

I had that same ninja for about a year and the issue with it is that the blades are not made to last… they are very sharp out of the box which makes it appear to be a good product but within 6 months to a year of regular use the blades got dull which made it nearly unusable for green smoothies because of the chunks and inability to grind up fresh greens to a smooth texture. I then upgraded to my Vitamix A3500 and I’m obsessed with it. Vitamix truly makes quality products and they stand by that which is why there is a 10 year warranty. You get what you pay for. Anyone who tries to say Ninja is better has not had enough experience with either machines to be comparing the two.

This is a major point which 1 day reviews can't cover! If a 500 dollar blender lasts 10 years it's probably worth it over a 90 dollar blender which lasts 3 years, depending on what you want to do with it.

@@adcashmo Except that's even mathematically wrong. If a $500 blender lasts 10 years, to not be a better value the 3 year blender would have to cost at least $150. You could replace the $90 blender every two years and still be ahead by $50.
@adcashmo
2 жыл бұрын
@@pjaypender1009 the cost/benefit is not purely mathematical. If you only had to replace the blades on a cheap blender every 3 years and the rest of the blender lasted 10, then we'd have a different story. But you also have to consider how good each blender is at its purpose. The point was if you were really to spend 90 dollars 3 times (370) for a product which actually is no where near as good as a 500 dollar product which lasts for 10 years and does everything better, it's an easy decision for me. And the blades aren't the only thing to fail. The motors on cheap benders aren't built to last either, especially when blending tough items.

Personally as someone who makes smoothies everyday, the ninja and nutribullet never blended everything and I’d have to chew my smoothies. It was terrible. (But I use kale, spinach and almonds along with a frozen banana). Vitamix has BLUNT blades which smash the food instead of slicing it. (Think mashed potatoes- if you just kept chopping them, they’d never be smooth, you need to smash them). But with blunt blades, you need the RPMs and power to really smash stuff. Unless you use a blender multiple times a day, everyday, I can't see the Vitamix being worth it. For most people, the Ninja is the obvious choice. Spending $500 on a device you'll only use occasionally is insane. In the "affordable" category, the Ninja is way better than anything else you'll find. The fact this $90 blender can even be compared to a $500 Vitamix is a testament to how great it is. And who really needs a "Smart Blender"?
@Cujobob

The Ninja is much more difficult to clean, the blades are sharp which means they wear pretty quickly, and the middle blade column can be quite dangerous in use/cleaning. The Vitamix is for someone who regularly makes themselves smoothies. If you drink smoothies for your health, you don’t want pieces inside. Also, blenders don’t typically last very long because they have cheap motors inside them. The Vitamix will last for over a decade for most people and if you regularly use a Ninja, you might be lucky to get a year.

clearning the ninja is chore. it's three parts, and you have to be really careful with the blade. the hole at the bottom of the blade gets food inside it and hard to clean it out. the ninja top has a lot of crevices and even with daily scrubbing, you'll start to notice build up. the vitamix cleans itself. as for performance, I noticed whole foods using a vitamix. i tried making the strawberry almond smoothie from whole foods at my house with my ninja and couldn't get the taste and consistency, so i bought a vitamix. it really just boils down to how you like your smoothies. i'm picky and prefer no chunks. i don't even like pulp in orange juice, but obviously some people love it. the ninja cannot blend the tiny seeds in strawberries. there are times you'll have to stop the ninja and move your food around so that it will blend. it's a lot more convenient to use a tamper with the vitamix

I bought the Ninja and the picture cracked with in a couple months. So I bought another Ninja and it cracked again. This time I called customer service and they sent me a new one for free. That one soon cracked in a month. See the pattern? I only use it for smoothies. I never put ice in it but I do use frozen fruit. Frozen banana, strawberries and blueberries. I am currently looking for a new blender, not Ninja!

Your tests were pathetic! I don’t have a Vitamix with an app - my Vitamix is 27 years old and still going strong! I wouldn’t buy a new Vitamix if you could only use it with an app. I have used a Ninja. I stayed with a friend to help her when she had an injury. The ninja was NO match with smoothies, and was far behind in other tasks as well. The clean up is scarier and I got cut with all those blades on the Ninja. For the money you spent, you got what you paid for with the Ninja. You need to learn to use the power in the Vitamix; It wins - hands down! P.S. It’s a pitcher. 😉

I’ve had 2 similar ninja blenders over the past year, and am on my 4th pitcher as they crack with minimal use and not even with ice. Very disappointing.

That is. We've only had ours for a couple weeks now and it's been holding up well. How's the warranty process been with Ninja? We didn't mention it in the video, but we found out Ninja blenders are made by the same company that creates Shark vacuums. www.sharkninja.com/

@@slickdeals SharkNinja replaced the pitcher on my original unit once, and after that one cracked, they sent me a brand new, upgraded unit which was more expensive than the one I originally purchased. Then that pitcher cracked and by then it had been a year so they told me my only option was to buy a new pitcher for $100 or so. Clearly not doing that. So the pitchers were defective across multiple Ninja blender lines. I think it’s too much torque at the base where the blades connect and it causes cracking which leads to leaking.

Anyone who is serious about using a blender would never choose a ninja. After a week, i returned it. This comparision is not even worth the effort. Vitamix is a blender i expect to find at walmart. Chucks of food not blended, leafs chucks left after blending and no way would it last as long as my vitamix, which is over a decade running strong. Sorry guys, this video was not wortht the effort of making and anyone with a vitamix would not take this video seriously. I have a vitamix i paid 650 for and a Dynapro that i also paid 650 for. Neither blender should be compared to a blender like a Ninja. In fact it is comparisons like this which clearly shows that quality it only meant for the few who wants that quality.

Something to consider. Hot blends vs cold only. Made in USA vs China. 10 year warranty vs 1 year warranty. I’ve had both and they both have areas where they excel. If you don’t have a problem with a tamper you’ll have better blends like they experienced with the kale. I would buy what you can afford unless any of those considerations are applicable.

Vitamix on shear last-ability. Built like tanks and good enough for commercial use. Least that’s what I hear and that’s what I’m going to want. But also it’s clear your not taking the time to know how to use the Vitamix. Yes your normal people. Great. But normal people also learn how to use a £$400 blender Have to say the US prices are way cheaper than UK.

It depends on the watts and what you are blending. The vitamix is much faster and blends everything silky smooth. The Ninja 1400 watt also blends but not as good. I had both. All I can say is that the vitamix is definately much better but if you are on the budget Ninja is fine. If you are blending hard things like seeds and so on vitamix for the win. If you are blending basic stuff like fruits and kale Ninja will do. They are not the same.

When crushing ice with vitamix you need to add a little water. It says it in the recipe book. I've had my vitamix for 20 years and I wouldn't trade it for a ninja. You can make boiling hot soup with a Vitamix.

I don’t have 500€ to 1000€ to pay for a blender is ridiculous honestly to buy this machine for home use. Again .. unless you have money. If you have a smoothie shop then invest in good equipment. People in normal jobs don’t mind a little fruit piece in their smoothie 😅

This is not a fair fight. I had a ninja and it lasted 3 years. I paid 75.00 for it. It Started leaking. I purchased a vitamix for 650 and have had it for 5 years now and it is still blending like it is still new. I make soup , smoothies, ice cream, ice coffee, and now milk all in one machine. It can do even more than that

That’s correct the average person like you people don’t know what you’re talking about Vitamix is one of the best companies in the world they are used all over the world in juice bars and bars your people don’t know how to use equipment you’re a bunch of young kids. You have to use the tamper and the Vitamix to get all the ingredients to blend and when you make nut butter you can’t beat it that ninja has got not the power at all and the blades are sharp and you can cut yourself blades are sharp with a ninja not the Vitamix you people don’t know what you’re talking about

Comments were far more informative than the video. The things blended were not even shown nor were at pitcher capacity, show additional features, or point out that they can blend different things. What's the point of it being a video? The majority of the time was people talking to each other about blender feels without testing it and then downrating something because they can't understand the optional side to the blender they don't know how to use.

did people responsible for ninja design the multi-tier blade to compensate for a weaker engine thinking it will be just as good? the price tells me they sell a "cheap" product for a cheap price so they cut all corners possible to lower manufacturing costs?
