Now I have 500 records and I sold the decks. I hav an XDJ I've never even used. I should get back into it, but never have the motivation.

Thanks. Glad you enjoyed it. Todays music is corporate, mainstream, and redundant within each "genre". After ghostwriters, I think people are even using AI to anallize the songs that get a lot of attention, and create songs out of some type of AI logarithms or something like that, Now we can't deny that a similar method was used to make the old stuff (like on this mix), but it was real people sitting in front of synths, machines, and mind boggling knowledge of routing, tweaking, and programing this stuff. They came up with a lot of it on their own, but a lot of copying and straight biting still went on, but it was different. Music lovers (not businesses) were hanging out building tunes. For me, It was my age, the era mr music styles available the lack of 3 deep sub-genres, and of course the NEWNESS to it all. Especially the sneaking into abandoned warehouses, and being twisted on the good med, innear darkness. I loved that darkness. Hell, you could sit on the cabinets at a lot of parties. Now it's often bright as fuck, with a spot on the DJ. DJs often used to be set up off in a corner. But still today, there are people putting their hearts and minds into their music and using old school equipment and new equipment. But, the era of "new" music is gone, like anything else. I'm a bit of a melancholic person, and often feel I missed the best parts of events. kzitem.info/news/bejne/u3efp4yCoXqUkpg But I don't hate, some people love making and hearing good tunes no matter when/how they were made. Sorry for the rant

@@HideSeek_Soje111 no no no, it's good to vent my DJ. Your 100%right and simplicity is the key. Looking forward to hearing more from you in the future ahead. Breaks and basses is the only way for me and yeah the dark parts of the warehouses was the best places to be and your right, I see all these youngsters dancing with the lights on and phone cameras filming the DJs. Where did it go so wrong? Silly me, I know the answer.. legal and commercial entities! Best of luck bruvva, wishing you a successful musical journey. Peace and love to you all 💖🫶💖

@@HideSeek_Soje111 I also have a huge new respect for anyone that can mix breakbeat. I think it's so much harder than mixing house or techno. I'm trying to mix bb now on my turn tables and it's making my head spin.

@@Snerdy0867 I was a total newb when I made this mix. I was told that the "mixing" of break tunes is mostly fast cuts, back-and-forth, on those breaks. That's kinda the whole concept behind how BB tunes are built, and meant to be mixed. I was stubborn and eager to build a mix that I could listen to. I hadn't developed those cutting and juggling skills, so I blended almost all of these tunes.
