If you get them at Pasteis de Belem, they are called Pasteis de Belem, not Pasteis de Nata

I am also an experienced traveler and I have enjoyed and learned from many of your videos. From my experience you are always on the mark. I think you did well to point out some of the niceties of Lisbon. However, I am in Lisbon now and I find Lisbon to be a dirty, poorly maintained city. Sure there are a handful of decent areas like Belem and the Modern City but for the most part, it’s in poor condition for a capital city of Europe. The central train station, Oriente, looks intriguing from the outside but as most of Lisbon it is very dirty, the bathrooms are disgusting and everything about it is run down. The urban train system (not the trolleys) is something out of the 1990s with very old train cars covered with graffiti and tracks that provide for a very rough ride. The rail systems in other parts of Europe such as Italy and Spain are fare superior. I am here on a free stop over and boy am I glad I didn’t pay to fly here. On the positive side the people are fantastic, very friendly and their food is very good and creative. Tomorrow I am headed up to Sintra and down along the coast back to Lisbon. I hope these areas are in better condition. My advice to travelers heading to Lisbon is lower your expectations and do your research so you understand what to expect.

Thanks for sharing your perspective! I’m glad to hear you've enjoyed the videos and found the info helpful. It sounds like you’ve had a mixed experience in Lisbon-I get it, every city has its highs and lows. The people and food definitely help make up for some of the wear and tear, but I totally understand your thoughts on the urban areas and train system. I hope your trip to Sintra and along the coast brings a fresh, positive experience! Safe travels and thanks for the honest feedback! 😊
