Thanks for understanding. Not every project is aimed at completing a 100% showcar finish. These people enjoy their car, but they don't have the capacity to give it a 2-3 hour maintenance wash the way some people do. Another award winning vidwo. Awesome effects. Thanks heaps Rick Great sprayer for the door jams. Why do u sometimes use the hose to rinse and the pressure washer
@RADGarage
3 жыл бұрын
I will opt for the hose rinse to keep the overspray down such as with the door jambs. Also, I can rinse away soap so much quicker with the low-pressure hose as opposed to pressurized water. Lastly, sometimes I don't feel the pressurized water is necessary when simply rinsing away soap residue. For the foam stage, the pressurized water is the most important part of the process as it is forcing the soap to do its job of reducing the surface tension of the water so it can actually clean.

To find this vid after the late shift is just awesome! The sleepover went well and I see that the german lady was treated with dignity and respect. Another fantastic vid and here I am watching at 01:00. I have a question becuse here in Sweden we usually spray on someting like a tar remover on the lower parts of the car, to remove tar and salt in the winter. Without that step the car would have quite a lot of spots left after the foam. I have not see you use that in any of your vids? Otherwise it seems like we have a lot of the same issues in the winter.
@RADGarage
3 жыл бұрын
So, the more I get to know my European friends, the more I am learning that Canada may NOT have the worst winter road conditions. I have learned that some countries use a tar spray on their roads in the winter to keep them from freezing and cracking, and that tar makes it way onto the cars. The worst example I have seen of this comes from my Icelandic friend, Brynjar. I do not see the need to use a tar remover or heavy duty acidic cleaner at the pr-wash stage here. The salt is terrible, but it comes off with the foam. I am still going to investigate this issue a bit further, and maybe I do work a degreaser into my pre-wash process, but nothing at this time.

Awesome work my friend, as always. I see you using GSF (my fave at present). Have you married it with some GS (green star) it’s great for breaking down contamination. Sadly we don’t get Citrol here. I use OP for sap removal. Also TEA is fantastic for tar removal. How did you find the SI02 spray sealant? We don’t have it here yet. Did it mask any swirling? Also it’s best pronounced kok keh·mee ;) it’s not like the French Canadian pronunciation of Poutine ;)

Thanks Clint. When you say "marry" the GSF (which I absolutely adore) with the GS, do you mean mix in the cannon? I have not tried that. I do find the Gyeon Restart has amazing decon power. It eats that slightly hardened film cars develop when they are only spray washed throughout the year. Citrol is a must-have. When Carzilla carries Koch Chemie, I anticipate I will get to know the line more, but it's kind of hard to source for me. The KC products I have now came to me from my friends at The Rag Company as part of my prize pack for the Grambassador program. Ordering direct from the States has become very difficult and expensive these days.

The jury is still out on the SO02 spray sealant. It may have been applied too quickly to have done its complete magic. The car was glossy and slick, but I need to play with it a bit more before making a judgment.

@@RADGarage yes. Sorry marry, should have been mix. Add 30ml GS to your GSF cannon mix. Helps cut through grime and dirt.

Hey Rick, do you dilute your Adams Wheel & Tire Cleaner in your dispensing bottle before using??
@RADGarage
3 жыл бұрын
I don't usually dilute it. It loses its effectiveness quickly when you start diluting it. I like it lather up thick. It doesn't do that nearly as well when mixed with water.

Glad you liked the video. I have a feeling I wasn't patient enough with the SO02 sealant application. I could have waited a bit longer before wiping away, but I'm so conditioned to wipe on/wipe off right away. I will give it a bit more time to "flash" next time I apply and share my thoughts then. It did create a nice gloss and slickness though.

There's a question I have never been asked! I'm actually a Sagittarius. I have always been fascinated by organization. Even as a kid, I preferred organizing my Hot Wheels cars while my friends were crashing theirs and playing with them in the dirt! 🙀

Love your vids, Rick! How did you like applying KCx SOo2? How did it compare to bead maker?
@RADGarage
3 жыл бұрын
I think the KCx sealant is a viable option for a quick spray sealant. I don't think I followed the instructions to the letter, because I may not have let it sit on the paint long enough prior to wiping. But, I liked the final effect and feel it is on par with my favorite spray sealants which are Defy (Ethos) and Ignite (Lithiium). I have a bunch more I need to play around with. The problem for me is I don't have enough projects to use these products multiple times in order to form a solid opinion.

@@RADGarage yeah I also found it a little tricky to apply. I did, however, liked the final outcome. Left my paint ultra smooth and hydrophobic. Thanks for your reply.

Hi rick Are you a car polishing product? We can use it on car windows To remove the scratches and shine our glass?
@RADGarage
3 жыл бұрын
You can polish glass with any polish. I have done it a lot with varying levels of success. Really, all you can do is get the film off of a glass surface. I don't think you can work scratches out of glass unless you get into some serious business like grinders, which I am way to wimpy to even think of trying!

Hi RICK How much is the value of one package of a ceramic product? Is it used on glass as well?
@RADGarage
3 жыл бұрын
Hey buddy. A 30ml bottle of a quality ceramic is less than $100 and the prices go up from there. You could probably get away with using it on glass, but I’d suggest sourcing a dedicated ceramic window coating. I’m not sure there is a big difference in the formulation but I like following the rules!
