I just ordered the front suspension Arnott kit for my 96 Deville Concors . Tired of my front end bouncing like a basketball. Great video and appreciated. Will save this video in case the "Service suspension light" dont shut off

Hi Hulk, I just bought a 1996 Deville, she’s low miles, 72k from original owner. Yes, the “Service Ride Control” msg keep popping up after couple minutes after each started the car. When you have time could you make new video about this issue little more detail. Thanks a bunch. My car also has Traction Control light stay on all the time.

I sure will. The traction control light is more than likely a wheel bearing. The abs/speed sensors in the wheel bearing on these. Easy fix, but determining which one could be tricky. You'll have to have somebody with a scanner plug it in to find which one. Or one of them possibly came loose. I will make a new video. This coming up week.

What relay did you use? Or is there a relay kit with the wires?

It's just a common 5 pin relay. You can get it from any auto part store. The one I used came with the strutmaster struts for the front. It was in the kit, but like I said, you can get the relay anywhere.

Does it even matter? I mean it only gives you a message once you start the car

This problem has been a real curse for me for a long time Your solution seems very easy. But I just am not quite sure how to do it. Where do I get a relay? Do I just walk into a Auto parts store and ask for one? Are you sure that the number markings are the same on all relays?Hulk, I know that it's been a while since you posted this video. But would please try to be a little more specific and show more detail. Pretend that you're writing it for the book "Mechanics for Idiots".

Bypass? No resistors?

Nope, just the relay. It just tells the computer the electronic struts are still there is all. If you want a more detailed video I can do another one.

Yeah i mean ive got the FSM but that’s like a million pages spread throughout 4 or so books 🫨 what are the requirements for the front struts to keep the rear air bags functionally sound ? I’m looking at the arnott bags and idk what for the front (also doing coil springs hopefully just the rear ive had just over 1,000 lbs scrap metal in that beast 😏😳

@BrandonSalas-us8mm I looked at the arnotts also, but then decided to go with the strutmaster kit. I went with them only because it came with the relays so it wouldn't throw a code. I read that the arnotts are actually remanufactured gm struts. So the quality is probably pretty good. I'm pretty sure they'll still have the plug to plug in so you won't have to bypass anything. To me it was easier to just be done with the electronic stuff all together. Then I wouldn't have to worry about it in the future. Strutmasters kit is like 7-800 bucks for all 4 wheels. To me its pretty worth it. The rear will be coil overs with shocks.

@BrandonSalas-us8mm I'm pretty sure the front and rear electronics are separate also, you can do the fronts and not mess with the rear. I only did the front and my rear airbags still work perfectly fine.

Good try, but it lacks clarification. Meaning the video does describe where one wire is coming from or where it is going to by pin number or the plug cavity number.
