Mazda mx5. The best sports car I ever had, Ireland

I have one in Oregon that was my daily driver for 10 plus years. I was very lucky I had a covered area at work and garaged at home. It was a 30 minute vacation morning and night, so sweet!!

Beautiful car. Congratulations on this very special Miata. I am a former Miata owner of the much-maligned but truly upper crust NC generation (mine was an 06 in Galaxy Gray, a Jaguarish-Aston Martin-like color, before they facelifted it and gave it that horrible big mouth). But this is a very cool car. The green color is not the traditional British Racing Green, but it looks like those colors Jaguar and Jensen used to use in their cars in the 70's, early 80's, which in my opinion are equally as cool if not better. The tan interior goes with it majestically. And for those who ever dare to try to deride your car as "girly," all you have to do is remind them that some of the toughest, most honorable men in America who came home from Europe after fighting in World War 2 had a love for British roadsters, the spiritual ancestors of this Miata. Everyone knows that if you are single and in the singles market, a true roadster like this is irresistible to most women- well, at least the women who matter. And for married guys, their wives might complain that the Miatas are unpractical, but we all know that deep down, they feel special when their husbands drive them around in a two-seater, as other women stare at them in envy. So in truth, these are some of the most masculine cars ever built. We can all draw our own conclusions. Hey, great choice and take care.

Man, your comment made my day. Much appreciated! You definitely know your history on roadsters as well. I am definitely going with the Vintage look on this build so stay tuned for more videos. Take care!

I've had one of these for five years. Best car I ever owned and it's worth four times as much as I payed for it with twice the mileage it had when I bought it.

Interesting that I come across this video at this particular moment in time, because I JUST purchased a minty-mint 1997 M-edition Miata myself! I LOVE the distinctive Marina Green (BRG) color. Had a black/tan 1994 for 11 years when I lived in CA, and I do love these cars.

The reason there is a separate switch for the pop up headlights is so you can have them up in the event of snow or ice they wouldn't be frozen shut.

actually dangerous for a road car. you will bash your head if someone rear ends you. possibility of a rollover is extremely low in a miata if you are not an idiot

Thanks, much appreciated! Still love the car but wish I drive her more. Only put about 2500 miles since purchased. I do notice the car is darty on uneven surfaces and tend to snap oversteer/bottom out. Granted it's my first RWD car plus Suspension definitely tired so just ordered coilovers and end links. Definitely an easy car to work on and parts are mostly cheap and available. Favorite "mod" so far would have to be the shifter rebuild kit w/ 5x racing bushings. Shifts are so precise now almost Honda s2000 standard. Should check out my newer videos. Try to put one out at least every 2 weeks. Take care.

Do you still have this car? Extremely clean, and that mileage is crazy. How much did you pay for it? Also props to you for buying it before 2020 lol. I have the same car, also located in PA, got it at 129k and just hit 135k miles. I probably overpaid just a tad for mine but considering the prior maintenance and upgrades, I would say it wasn't too unjustified. Cosmetically it's far from perfect, and I have had to put some money into it but it has been a great car with no considerably major issues. I started making videos with it recently as I have been trying to make the most out of my ownership, and I plan to make many more. Hoping to own and drive the car for as long as possible. If you still have this car you should make another video with it, maybe give an update

Yup, still have it but have not done much to it since coilovers. Just been driving to local meets and cruises. I paid 5200 back in 2017 and yes def lucky since would have to pay double now! Great that you have the same car as well and plan on making more videos in near future if I can get out of this funk, mentally.
